Starmer's big secret?

Sadly anyone with a mortgage or loans is still suffering from the mini budget from a couple of years ago and conversely anyone with savings has suffered for years after low savings rates for a very long time.

There will be more 'revelations,' about this government about the next one and about the one after that. All politics is mired in sleaze and right now the focus on this government. Next week it could be someone from the right side of the spectrum. The press don't give a monkeys of it gets them income.
If you have a fixed rate mortgage arranged before the Truss thing then it made very little difference top you. The short lived fall in Sterling was a blip.

The problem is the BoE and will continue to be so until the process changes, they are consistently wrong in forecasts and have been for years.

Sunak sat amongst the fans at Southampton and they have big burly bodyguards with them anyway!

No he didn't. He sat in the directors box - like me seating next to SP and saying i'm down with the people. And i suspect he used the 'free' loaned helicopter to get there and back.

I thought it was Arsenal who approached Starmer and said they couldn't keep him safe so offered him alternative seating.

Anyway, this 'story' about affairs/lovechild reminds me of the beer gate one. Boris was desperate to deflect attention away from him so got his tax avoiding millionaire mate who happens to own a newspaper to run a non story despite it already being reviewed and dismissed by the police.
It came out a few years ago and cost the 'reporter' substantial damages.

Yet the Starmer hater are happy to jump on anything.

Trump lies, Biden misspeaks.

I know this is Kelvin Mackenzie reiterating what Dan Wootton is revealing (or alleging), but if this is true then the digging will continue as to why Starmer and his wife were living separate lives leading up to and after the election. That is if the some of the press don’t already know…

Mackenzie is the Ex editor of the Sun but hasn't been in the media for years, and Wootton recently got sacked by GB News.

Both are Tory rent a gobs. Hardly reliable 'journalists'.

No proper journalist will post it because it will cost them a lot of money - Mackenzie has a history here - Elton John won damages for a rent boy story years ago when he was editor of the sun.

I'd forgotten Elton John used to be editor of The Sun. It's what inspired Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me apparently

Beer gate, Sue Gray, it's not about hating Starmer the person, it's about hating his hypocrisy which is being more exposed every day. He is as bad as many in the previous Govt and probably worse than quite a few. All the quotes he and particularly Rayner made in opposition all being wheeled out as they do exactly what they criticised

Apparently there is a big secret about two tier Keir Stalin that is threatening to come out in the next week to ten days! But what is it?

Isabel Oxshott said on Talk Radio that journo's and people in Westminster have been talking about it for a while but no one has said it out loud.

She alluded that his family is rumoured to not be 'his family' in that they are a front.

Personally, I think it may have something to do with his "friend" Lord Ali but I'm not gonna say what on here!
Probably went out with Diane Abbot, David Lammy was a byblow. 😉 😆 I could make this sh*t up all day.

The mortgage rate is yet to recover bar a slight decrease. It's a glib response to say that as some folks were on fixed rates it didn't really matter or was a blip.

Lots of people and lots of businesses are still recovering from the economic mismanagement of the last government. But we will only really see what the new government is like when we see what is in the upcoming budget.

But back onto topic...what happened to the design provoking revaltion that we were waiting for?

And if your fixed rate was just about to end it made a huge difference.

I would argue it is our predominantly right wing media, which Starmer refused to suck up to which is actually the main reason (unlike Blair). Remember the Leveson enquiry - most the recommendations have still not been implemented.

Beer gate was a non story refreshed by the Mail purely to deflect attention away from Boris (who incidentally broke the rules, so it is not really comparable).

This week it has been disclosed that Badenoch is using a 'gifted' property to manage her campaign and Cleverley has regularly attended sports events and failed to disclose that his wife also attended yet most papers and news outlets have barely covered it.

Also, don't forget that the Tories changed the rules on reporting gifts if they were linked to their job so the shadow cabinet numbers were always going to look worse when compared to zero. Starmer has reversed this decision.

Injunction? Just a guess

Yes they are all as bad as each other, my gripe is the hypocrisy being shown by certain members of the new Government

They're all at it but it was Starmer/Labour who made the noise about change knowing he had been at it for years, massive hypocrisy.
