Sadiq Khan

the typical pile on as expected.

Now here is an actual award for failure and yet no comment at the time.

It was over a year ago. Are you sure there was no comment. I must admit this one got pass me but I agree it is shameful.

I have attacked the honours list many times on this site when it was a Tory government so I am consistent. The whole honours list is a gravy train and should be scrapped completely. In fact I would go further and scrap all titles in law. If someone wants to style them self Lord this or Lady that it's their prerogative but the state will not recognise it. Is that left wing enough for you 😀

Arise Sir c*** from Balham.
You receive this award for being the most odious of individuals, devoid of any skill, personality or intelligence of which most decent Londoners have in abundance.

Please now feel free to f*** off back to your motherland (Tooting) and boil your empty head until tender you vile little gargoyle.

Happy New Year .

Khan’s knighthood reflects his resilience and achievements in navigating one of the world’s most challenging political tasks, after inheriting the Johnston mega-circus, and if you’re still angry about it, it’s probably time to admit that your anger has nothing to do with his record as a public servant.

Love it or hate it, our honour system is rooted in the British Empire and everything that comes with that — including its long history of racism and colonialism.

It’s time to ask yourself whether your issue is that this system is now recognising a Muslim leader for his contributions.

😎

His contributions are the issue. The negatives far outweigh the positives.

Someone recently said that 50 years are needed to judge a politician, i would put a sizable bet that history will treat him kindly, the fading out of polluting vehicles will eventually be seen as a masterstroke, even though a few on here may wish to continue driving around in a polluting vehicle. If anything befell Sir Starmer, Sadiq is positioned to throw his hat in the ring.

A knighthood for failing the vast majority of Londoners. Has done nothing to reduce violence in the street, millions wasted on pony, vanity projects.
No great supporter of the Met.
Makes Dianne Abbott look competent.
Wants Ulez in the greenbelt (the clue's in the name, dopey).
Compares the Notting Hill Stabfest to being as safe as going to an England international at Wembley or Glastonbury !!
Still if your child has been shot or stabbed, I am sure a free school meal is fitting compensation.
But, as he is webbed up with this fabulous new Government, this was inevitable and helps tick a box entitled quota.

Not that I am a fan of ULEZ but taking credit for someone else's proposal and policy is not reason for a knighthood. Nor is refusing to answer questions at the mayor's question time. Multiple examples on line. Bankrupting TFL but blaming the Tories.

My issue is that this bloke is an utterly useless c*** regardless of his religion.

Sincerely have to hope that Croydon does not get mixed up. They have the potential to give a newly created knight the Freedom of the Borough. Their award needs to go to Southgate (former CPFC Captain) and not Khan.

A boy from Tooting. The Mayor of London supports Liverpool FC.

well, i guess its another plank in his 'diversity agenda'. Just part and parcel of living in a big metropolis.

To come at it from another angle, one of the reasons why the British establishment is so successful, at least in terms of longevity, is that it has the capacity to effectively absorb people who start as outsiders. Tradition and heritage, when all is said and done, do have a pull. British political history is full of people who arrive at Westminster as MP's, intent on burning the place to the ground, and within a few years are active stalwarts of the very institution they claimed to despise. There is a flexibility to how the UK is governed that we don't always appreciate.

But for me what is 100% clear, on a variety of levels, is that as a white, working class family orientated male, then the Establishment, at very best, see's us collectively as a useful fools, who can be easily be coerced into fighting its war, policing its streets, fixing its roads and a host of other tasks that keeps the lights on and the taps flowing, both literally and metaphorically. And if we dare try and buck the system, then they come down on us like a ton of bricks.

And for that, they can go f*** themselves.

English/European Republicanism. That is the future now.

Like Starmer who is clearly a freemason and is constantly going on about the great toolmaker. But he's just another working class boy who thought he'd make a difference.

I'm always grateful for your contributions and those of your fellow Leftists.

It helps me reinforce my belief that we must rid ourselves of the anti British nutcases ruining this country.

My issue is that he has paid areas £25k to rename roads that bear the name of historical figures ( especially those in the armed forces) in an attempt to eradicate our Colonial past So accepting an honour “ so rooted in the British Empire” is beyond hypocritical…. No?

Exactly my thoughts. He has zero right to be a Knight of the British Empire.

But they are not 'anti-British' anymore. They are the Establishment. They are the British ruling class.

The British Establishment have now turned their backs on the English White Working Class. This is what people need to wake up to and act, collectively, in accordance.
