Funny how so many Muslims are happy to appear on the channel, don’t you think? I believe one of the presenters is considering legal action against certain organisations who made unfounded claims about his alleged comments. Don’t believe all you read
 
He has just announced a 4.6% rise in rail and Tube fares from March. I suppose his expenses have to be met some how. Long live Sir Sadiq, to hell with the common folk

For someone who doesn’t appear to like our history, much of which involved the Royal Family and aristocracy, I am surprised (🤣) he could bring himself to accept it. Arise Sir Hypocrite
 
Political honours will always be controversial but seriously how can anyone say he's done a good job.

Elections and promoting himself
Got himself elected twice. Verdict Pass.

Fiscal responsibility
He has put up council tax massively each year he's been in power despite the complaints of voters and some London Boroughs. TFL got itself into significant debt and it was only COVID that bailed them out. In return for a 5bn injection from the Tories Khan agreed to reform the expensive pension plan of the Transport workers. He delayed making this decision until 2 weeks ago when he quietly dropped it. Verdict Fail.

Congestion
Despite TFL raking in millions in congestion fees congestion has not significantly improved under Khan, indeed many say it has got worse and business says it is harder to do work in London. Verdict Fail.

Environment
There has been an improvement in air quality but at what price. It is alleged that TFL use a baseline of air quality statistics that were taken on one of the worst days of the year. We all know that the weather can play havoc with pollution but if you compare the worst and best days (due to weather) there will always be an improvement which has nothing to do with human intervention. The verdict is still out on how much air quality really has improved and if the disruption to our lives has been justified. Verdict Maybe.

Crime
Nuff said. Verdict Fail.

Anyway apparently this is enough to get you a knighthood.

Up next "I'm a celebrity get me a gong". A new TV show where celebrities explain why getting paid lots of money whilst lecturing the rest of us on moral issues entitles them to a gong.

Agree,awarded for failure.
 
The public have voted for him three times and we live in a democracy they think he has done a good enough job, as I do.

In particular it is healthier cleaner and less congested.

Compare it to my childhood when life expectancy was in mid-60s.

'doin' a good job'.

Wow, Khan has increased life expectancy! Perhaps he should be made a Saint rather than a Knight? Does Islam have saints or only martyrs.

It has been proved that he hasn’t improved pollution and I think you’ll find advances in medical technology, diet and lifestyles contributes more to longer life expectancy.

I have lost count of the number of times someone has mentioned the age of someone before the conversation moves onto, ‘’Well they didn’t drink or smoke.’’ Well done on the latter, but sod being teetotal all your life, unless you’re an alcoholic of course.

Agree, but the latter two are worst not better as many people barely exercise and have terrible high UPF diets, hence the obesity crisis.
