Does anyone know why he didn't even make the bench on Saturday ? I am hoping illness / minor injury, rather than that we have decided he is crap or there has been a falling out.
Prior to signing Esse, I had a conversation with a Millwall season-ticket holder who is an aficionado of football. In his pre-match press conference, Glasner said Esse and Matt Turner were both ill and wouldn't be travelling to Manchester with the team. That was why Remi Matthews was on the bench as reserve keeper rather than Matt Turner.
Hopefully we will get to see a bit more of Esse in the remaining games.
My Millwall contact said he was on a higher wavelength to the players around him there - he looks the part to me, his passing is great, has vision.Prior to signing Esse, I had a conversation with a Millwall season-ticket holder who is an aficionado of football.
He described Esse as not ready for the PL but is a player for the future.

He is steeped in knowledge of the game and his judgement of players over the years has been commendable.Isn’t that an Oxymoron…. A Millwall fan who is an aficionado of football?
However with that in depth and expert analysis, could he be Freedman’s replacement?
And we know he was on a higher wavelength than the fans.My Millwall contact said he was on a higher wavelength to the players around him there - he looks the part to me, his passing is great, has vision.
There are several forms of plant life who could make a similar claim. And be right. And we know he was on a higher wavelength than the fans.
