Romain Esse

From the clips he's very left footed, but can go outside as well as cut inside.
He keeps the close to his body when running with the ball and looks to be able to beat an opponent with ease.
In style he looks to be a cross between Olise and JRS, let's hope closer to the former than the latter.
I actually thought he looked a lot like a left-footed Wilf in his playing style - he seems to have that same sort of wirey strength to ride tackles and get his body between the ball and the opponent.

He's def got a bit of the old Olise about him.

Seams to have a decent shot on him, and whilst he can dribble, its not Wilf like dribbling for the sake of it

Getting excited about this one now!

People on here who obviously have no idea how a negotiation works, and are also the ones who sit and moan about how much some of our players are on
Speak for yourself mate . its embarrassing how long it takes Palace to get a deal done and still manage to Fvck it up ( Ferguson, Franca ) but to name a few . when other clubs can get it all done in 3 days . As for moaning you do enough of it yourself. Expert on everything after the fact .

Is it possible that our knowledge of our own transfer dealings is greater than our knowledge of other clubs', making us aware of pending deals long before they hit the headlines, and that therefore skews our perception of how long it takes us vs. others to complete deals?

Also, as with the likes of Franca/Ferguson, a deal being done is always exciting however due diligence is often demanded in retrospect. That's the way I see it, with my desperation for us to sign players also skewing my perspective.

I think it speaks for itself that you've had to go back 5 years to the free signing of Nathan Ferguson to try and support the idea that we're bad in the transfer market, or f*** up loads of signings.

City have been getting deals done with Marmoush and Khusanov since the start of the window and still haven't announced them.

Ipswich were rumoured to have bid for Philogene on the 2nd January and only announced the deal yesterday.

Yep - as well as that, social media and these 'in the know' accounts mean we tend to hear about transfers and interest in players at a very early stage, and so it can seem like negotiations are taking ages.

Go back 10 years and transfers news wasn't often leaked unless someone was spotted doing a medical or something similar.

Sure you're right, Nick. Football supporters are nothing if not subjective. How many games are there were both sides are convinced the ref was totally biased, one teams tigerish midfielder is the other's violent psychopath, a lucky deflection is another's Roberto Carlos masterpiece.

I see from your profile you only joined up yesterday . Do you mind me asking how old are you ?

Sure, all the other clubs sort their transfers in 3 days, and get it right every time....Palace are SUCH an anomaly.

Com to think of it, I wonder why the window is a month...if its that easy.

Not claiming to be an expert on anything, just would rather assume that the club and those in charge are relatively competent. And if the deal has taken until the 17th, its because its not straight forward.

The deal is not done yet .

Glad other people as getting wise to this guy whom a lot of people are worshiping like he's some kind of transfer soothsaying genius!

I posted a long time ago that he just rehashes what everyone knows. If he was called Fred Smith no one would bother with him.
So you want a reliable source?

Who would that be?

Romano and Ornstein are as reliable as you get unless you are told directly by the owners.
