No you will have to disagree with every sensible objective assessment of impact which shows a 4% decrease in trade, an alarming drop in producivity, and a spectacular diminishing of our international voice.
We have fallen behind other G7 nations and, sadly, the consequences will be seen for a long time.
Labour are of course a shambles. That said, they are having to repair the economy damaged by your party and hamstrung by the disaster of Brexit.
Btw always interesting to hear those who still support Brexit. I literally shot myself in the foot. I now walk with a stick and in pain. I am very pleased I did.
Agree Reform obviously.
For a damaged economy look no further than this current Government :
Inflation : Labour inheritance 2.0%, under Labour's watch £3.6%
Unemployment : Increased from 4.2% to 4.7%
Wage Growth : Decreased from 5.3% to 5.0%
GDP Growth : Decreased from 0.4% to -0.1%
Borrowing costs : Increased from 4.7% to 5.5%
Debt : Increased from 95.8% to 96.4%
As for that "£22 Billion black hole", I despair.
We Conservatives of course had to navigate the twin-shocks of Covid and the War in Ukraine.
Finally, I stand 'Gummed' to my position on Brexit and I would LEAVE tomorrow if there was another referendum.I certainly do not wish the UK to return to the 'Orbit' of a sclerotic EU with their unelected bureaucrats and having to pay £Billions for the privilege.
Leaving the EU has not prevented the country from maintaining its place among the world's leading economies, despite predictions of an economic catastrophe.
