Reform

He would say that though wouldn’t he? I am surprised he hasn’t crossed over to the dark side yet, but it’s a racing certainty he will.

Labour attacking Reform in the way they are is good to see. When did Farage ever play fair, let alone tell the truth? The consequences of voting Reform needs to be put under the spotlight and the undeliverable promises exposed as the shams they are.

This needs to be done not just by Labour but by everyone concerned about the possibility of Reform being in government. From every other party.

So if reform supporters, councillors or MPs get attacked because labour wound people up it’s ok in your book ?
You forgot about Charlie Kirk already !

Starmer and Labour have become the poster boys for Reform, he is almost as important as Farage to the party. Nigel should buy him a pint the next time he sees him.

Every time Labour use hyperbole like Starmer and Lammy have, they win a few more votes for Reform. Are they purposelessly being stupid? Probably not, it's a British variant on TDS.

They are making the same mistake as the Democrats did when Biden came to power. They cannot resists poking the bear.

There are plenty of faults with Reform’s policies that a statesman could calmly poke holes in without resorting to comparison to Nazis or personal abuse (as some in Labour have done).

But no they go OTT and their point is then lost in the furore.

If I was Farage I would be offering to pay Starmer & Co to to continue attacking him.

Many ordinary sensible people have concerns over immigration and just like Brexit they don't appreciate being called stupid and racist which is the path that Labour is currently on. It will hardly be a surprise then when the stupid racists vote overwhelmingly for Reform, what do they expect.

Tone down the rhetoric and start doing something about the problem is the answer.

I have started to entertain the possibility, and sometimes probability, that Starmer will be replaced before the General Election, defenestrated by his party.
Both Labour and Conservatives may well have different leaders than at present when the election is called.

Very possibly.

Unfortunately for the Tories, there is only one right wing party who can form a government. Reform.

Labour will try every trick in the book to cling on to power, but surely people won't fall for their nonsense about 'a better future for all' again.
Labour have been promising that for my whole lifetime and never deliver. They are a sham party.
Their success is built on the gullibility of the desperate and naive.

But that’s still a big client base in this Country.

I can appreciate your thinking based on the previous 100 polls, however the General Election is not in the near future. My view on Reform has been well documented on HOL !

The battle for us Conservatives is now for attention and exposure. Conference, which I am attending, offers a rare moment where the media will sit and take notice of what it is the Conservatives currently have to say.Policy announcements will be met with and reported on accordingly. News of Conference will carry on to the airwaves and appear on the television.

Conservatives will arrive at Conference with a clear plan to make headlines and make interventions which will find their way to the news feeds and television screens of the electorate.

Any Tory success will only help Labour. People need to vote for the party that can win. I know you don't want to hear it.

Nationalising energy and utilities, removing the 2 child benefit cap aren't very right wing though.

Certainly the tories will ditch Bad-as -ever,the tories change leaders constantly, itis like a competition to find the most inept. Labour have no charismatic person to lead a campaign to oust Sir Keir, they are also wary of a sudden lurch to the left,Burnham is to old and regionally partisan to be a serious threat.Labour are long since portraying a cloth cap, whippet and a pint of Boddingtons in a dimple mug whilst supping with Martha Longhurst in the snug.

The next election will about immigration policy.

There is one party committed to drastically reducing it and two who have been responsible for a massive increase.
