Can't say I disagree with any of that and I think it will resonate with a lot of voters. Welfare benefits should'nt be a lifestyle option and neither should hard working people have to pay for those who choose not too.

That's just common sense.

But what's also common sense is that the jobs out there have to enable people to pay their rent and feed themselves.

Policies in the country have resulted in a lot of 'gig' jobs that aren't doing that and AI is taking a lot of 'skills' jobs.

I think this nails in a concise way (rare for you 😘) why people are disenfranchised with the usual parties.

Until someone can ‘fix’ this (extremely hard with the direction of travel) I think anyone in charge is destined to fail.

Oh, we are certainly fecked....more fecked than Gemma Collins in a migrant hotel.

But it's not just us....what's happening is occurring all over the first world global economies.

It's just a matter of how fast we choose to sprint towards the problem.

Personally I think we need to be sprinting towards automation and throwing out foreigners who aren't net producers for the economy.....which is a hellva lot of people.

Ha, not through choice.

That's the issue, future governments...just like this one is....are quite restricted in their options.

Burnham is just going to sit there being performative because he couldn't even be economically radical even if he wanted due to his MP base.

Anyone who is even going to attempt to right the ship has a monumental battle on their hands as the country is on the operating table with a lot of leeches sucking on its life force, quite happy to continue sucking until it flatlines......and the supply of salt to get rid of them is low.

But anyone moral who stands for less suffering has to try.
