Can't say I disagree with any of that and I think it will resonate with a lot of voters. Welfare benefits should'nt be a lifestyle option and neither should hard working people have to pay for those who choose not too.

That's just common sense.

But what's also common sense is that the jobs out there have to enable people to pay their rent and feed themselves.

Policies in the country have resulted in a lot of 'gig' jobs that aren't doing that and AI is taking a lot of 'skills' jobs.

I think this nails in a concise way (rare for you 😘) why people are disenfranchised with the usual parties.

Until someone can ‘fix’ this (extremely hard with the direction of travel) I think anyone in charge is destined to fail.

Oh, we are certainly fecked....more fecked than Gemma Collins in a migrant hotel.

But it's not just us....what's happening is occurring all over the first world global economies.

It's just a matter of how fast we choose to sprint towards the problem.

Personally I think we need to be sprinting towards automation and throwing out foreigners who aren't net producers for the economy.....which is a hellva lot of people.

That's the issue, future governments...just like this one is....are quite restricted in their options.

Burnham is just going to sit there being performative because he couldn't even be economically radical even if he wanted due to his MP base.

Anyone who is even going to attempt to right the ship has a monumental battle on their hands as the country is on the operating table with a lot of leeches sucking on its life force, quite happy to continue sucking until it flatlines......and the supply of salt to get rid of them is low.

But anyone moral who stands for less suffering has to try.

Ha....When you get to 57 sexually tense tiffs tend to rarity.

Economically my advice to people is ride the tiger and prepare as best you can.....and know that for most people, it isn't their fault.

Some people see the Clinton era with banking changes as sowing the seeds in how we got here.....and contained within that are some dark opinions that I know you wouldn't agree with. Some say earlier when Nixon moved away from gold.....probably both and more.
For Britain, realities that WW2 forced on us....and also some terrible directional mistakes...put us onto this path.

Is Labour serious? The majority of migrants do not claim benefits? The key word there being majority.

So they don't claim child support, education, healthcare, housing. Those who don't work then don't claim anything, yeah right.

They are all putting into the system because they are highly paid doctors and scientists etc.

The BBC should be challenging this statement. What exactly do they mean by migrants? Are they including people who have been granted leave to stay? Are they including migrant families? etc. It's poor journalism to allow Labour to make that statement unchallenged.
