I fully agree that the fences were a terrible idea.

I understand why some people thought they were necessary at the time of their introduction; however, they did turn out to be the wrong proposition to the hooliganism problems of the time.

He singled out gakpo for not making a meal out of that "shove in a back" by hughes leading up to sarr's goal.

Gakpo did go down when he was hardly touched anyway!

The fences weren't there to protect the players dummy, they were put up to keep the supporters from trying to fight each other ffs. Are you under 40 or something? You have no idea how bad it was, thanks to Liverpool fans especially.

And have things changed?

For the PL to come out with this means the abuse can't have been on oddball, and against Liverpool too, that's just dangerous to take on. Carragher even said directly after the match "one idiot" of course, to deflect blame, accountability and responsibility from scouseland
