Palace v Ipswich Match Thread

Pullis Pardew and Alladyce are all unemployed- as is Dyce and Frank.
I don’t understand why we bypassed Frank for Sage who is completely out of his depth

we may have enquired about him, who knows, they wouldn't tell us.

plus he stated that he wanted a break from football.

We have 2 games left until a 3 week break , its working out his best 11 , van diesel being sent off could work in our favour , we may by default get the right 3 happens alot , if Sarr is OK then that gives us more , Wharton has lost something , which at times showed last season , new players need to embed , for me we have brought to many rather than better , nearly everyone on here wanted a deeper squad , well guess what you got it but at what cost ,

nothing has changed since last season, we played rubbish at home with Lacriox, Guehi, Muñoz, Sarr and Mateta in the side, now we are playing rubbish with inferior players, we dont even have the thought that we might grab an unexpected win away with the same tactics.

Nketiah injured (again), mateta and sarr both injured/sulking and guessand injured/at loggerheads with manager.

who else was there?
Are we really saying that Larsen had to come off? Put a midfielder up front if he was gasping, not a novice kid. It was bound to backfire, and I'm not someone who regularly criticises managers, but this, along with dropping various players is concerning.

My hope is that Sarr, Mateta along with all the other apparently out of favour players are back and available after the break and help Sage out. The Forest game will turn the fans against him if we lose at home. The fans usually get their way on managers.

In Madrid for the (not) Spanish GP. Watched Qualifing, then checked out our score. Hmm. Last minute winner, sounds familiar, BUT, the increasing pantwetters on this site, is embarrassing, grow up n get a life ffs.

This is Palace, always was n always will be.

Sage - has a very good CV - just don’t get why Parish gets away Scott free in these debates..!!

I said after the window - a good window but business done too late again - so it’s going to cost us.

Now this - it happens season after season..!!

You are talking complete rubbish, an experienced manager with premier league knowledge is needed, they would look at the players available and set the tactics, which would be 4-5-1, its embarrassing easy to see.

Personally i would've put mcneill up there before gozo.

I’m fairly sure we would have won that match if Disasi hadn’t of got himself sent off with a stupid challenge. Thought second half if we had taken our chances we would still have won. Ipswich realised after sitting back allowing us to equalise that they had to press us again. Sadly they got the winner, not sure having just seen it once if Our keeper could have done better. As for Kamada and Larsen they were knackered and had to be replaced. Just no forward available to replace Larsen though :-( As for Disasi, he cost us the match not Sage.

We should not have sold Lacroix. That was baffling. Sage has also been without his two goalscorers and it's hard to blame him or Parish for that. What we should have done is sign another quality forward. We didn't. We bought a kid for the American league who is not ready.

Sage is not helping himself by dropping players when we are already short. If the team won't play for you, then you won't last long.

f***'s sake. The bedwetters and entitled are out in force again.
Best defenders left.
Replacement got sent off.
Last season's top scorers on strike.
But it's Sage's fault.
You should go to some matches instead of slagging off on here.
Pathetic.

It's not going too well.
A good outing v Poznan is needed but we can't neglect Premier league status for a run in Europe. Ultimately premier League status remains top priority.
The defense issue is pre Sage however.
Players like Wharton(who evidently don't want to be here) needs a kicking up the backside instead of being made captain. Unfortunately we are going to be on the wrong end of some heavy score lines this season unless something drastic changes.

There is obviously something going on behind the scenes, that is effecting the team. The form of Wharton, Richards and Mitchell to an extent, has been no where near their normal level. Canvot dropped for Sporting issues ( whatever that means) Guessard dropped for poor attitude, as announced in a National paper yesterday, Mateta and Sarr not training, injured or not isn't clear.
Is it Sage not pandering to them, as Glasner did with his favourites?
Putting all these issues together and trying to blend together a new team isn't easy, whoever the manager maybe.
To me, I think the team spirit and togetherness of the last couple of years, appears to have disappeared, what is the reason is anyones guess.
