Imray shop windowing in the lower leagues and Cardines getting on the pitch for the first XI seems to support that.

Shame. We spent £££ on the academy. I thought Imray would be the first one from the new generation to make the leap.

Would make a lot of sense.

I know Imray has a lot of fans on here, and we can debate all day if he is PL quality without knowing. What we do know is that he's 23 and behind Munoz he'll get next to no game time. For his own sake he needs to be somewhere he can play

Yup. I think this is a no lose punt for us. The club can see him close up and if he looks good then great, if not it's cost us nothing. As others have suggested likely Kamada has recommended him to us.

Devenny has to be the posterboy for the Next Gen.

Mitchell being posterboy for the Current Gen, and I suppose Zaha, Wan-Bissaka, and Clyne being the posterboys for the recent past.

I think JDT is the youngest and the most exciting of the bunch - oozes confidence & quality & would love to see this as his breakthrough season

Of course we cannot get rid of many of the players mentioned as the EPL rules require a minimum number of “ home grown” players in the squad. If all the players mentioned are kicked out we would end up with only Henderson, Matthew’s, Mitchell, Wharton and Hughes. As far as I remember the Academy players don’t count.
