Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Mediation between who?
He doesn't understand what mediation means, he is confused with binding arbitration which is not relevant here as only one party is appealing the decision, neither Forest or Lyon are involved in the current stage of proceedings on August 8th

On the bbc's fixture page for this Thursday (7th) are the 3rd qualifying round fixtures for the Europa & the Conference leagues . . .

Are there any European teams that are NOT in some form of European league format?!

Avoid Rosenberg as have champions league experience
Yes the winners of the Rosenberg v Hammarby tie, AEK Athens or AIK Stockholm could all prove tough. Some of these teams are mid-season so wiill have that advantage . This round was Chelsea's toughest in the whole compettion as they only beat Servette 3-2 on aggregate. It would add insult to injury if instead of Europa Group stage we fail to get to that round in the Conference

Yep agree would be biggest anti climax ever 😳

Right its Guess time, im going for:

Palace, Europa
Forest, Europa
Lyon, Nought

Or something completely different
I think it all just reverts to original status, i.e.: Palace in Europa, Lyon in Europa and Forest in Conference. Also I wouldn't be surprised if UEFA are happy with CAS making the call for them.

Not what you would expect for someone who apparently killed his brother through reckless driving and left his wife a widow with three sons without a dad. Hey, but Liverpool and football...
They still crow when they get into Premier League games without a ticket too...

A very hypothetical question for those of us who have not settled happily for the Conference League and are still unhappy about the injustice of it all (of which I am very much one):

If the outcome was that we were sent to the Conference League but this was the turning point on Multi Club Ownership, no more MCOs, blind trusts and somehow all clubs had had to move (over a period of years) to not having shareholders who invest in multiple teams. Probably no more Blitzer or Harris but maybe no more Maranakis in English football either, no more City football group or red bull.

It would never happen but if it did, could you settle for the Conference League? It still wouldn’t be fair but I think maybe I could, as it is the fact that MCOs entirely exist and play in the same tournaments that annoys me most.

Ultimately didn't apply for Forest; UEFA didn't have to apply the rules; so we'll never know.
Well, it sort of did apply because Marinakis did put his shares into trust at the end of April and took them back out in June and this info can be found at Companies House. I don’t recall Forest being told that as a result of this they would have defaulted their CL position and let’s face it they knew as much about whether they were going into the CL as we did about going into the EL at the March date.

All the parties involved but primarily between Palace and UEFA. There is though a Greek in the woodpile who might refuse any conciliated solution and force CAS to rule as he has nothing to lose by doing so.
I genuinely know jack sh*t about what I am about to say, but is there an argument that if Forest are put back in the Conference that's exactly what they qualified for and therefore have no recourse? Nothing will have been taken away from them that they ever qualified for.

Ha, fence sitter!

The suggestion being that, as they cannot be done on MCO rules, Lyon would be ejected on finance grounds? However, even if we argue that, would it not be part of our appeal? That is, not within the CAS purview?

Yes, but Forest could still argue that their elevation was a consequence of the correct application of binding UEFA rules.

They certainly wouldn’t be able to demonstrate loss as their current qualification is in place of a team that is appealing (and quite within their rights to do so) their demotion.

My opinion obviously, however Forest didn’t earn their position so if Palace are reinstated it should end up as if nothing ever happened with Forest returning to the Conference draw.

According to Stephan Borson, a so called expert, finance matters invariably end up with a fine whereas MCO matters appear to be dealt with differently. This apparently is why Chelsea don’t give a damn about their financial improprieties and why Citeh will probably get a slapped wrist and a fine which they’ll pay out of their matchday burger takings.
