Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

Forest have been included as we want to see what was in the communication that their owner sent to UEFA. If UEFA were influenced by those words to the extent that it tipped the balance away from us, then bingo!
Forest are co respondents as they are directly impacted by the outcome, no?

Not sure why Lyon are there. I suspect you are correct or at least partly. If you are not joined as a party you can't be compelled to disclose evidence.

Btw, anyone understand why the hearing is in camera and a full reasoned judgement not made public?

Palace are more or less giving CAS a choice (should they win), reinstate us and remove Forest or reinstate us and remove Lyon. I'd imagine Palace dont really much care who makes way as long as we get our rightful place back.

Not sure why Lyon would be removed? Conflict present - they take priority as highest placed. No conflict present - we both go in. Either way, Lyon go through.

I wouldn’t want to be in the Directors box that game. The tension could be immense. The policing will be too! I wonder what the fanatics might do. Given that there will be a lot of media attention a tifo directed at Marinakis seems appropriate. There is a lot of scope for creativity.

Although as Marinakis has a history of banning those he doesn’t like from Forest maybe we will do the same to him and refuse them any tickets on the grounds of safety.
If Marinakis is pictured this would need to cover at least the Holmesdale and the Main stand

this topic is getting boring now , theres been blame , theres been hate , theres been people who just dont care about other peoples views because there always right , so its a done topic until we hear the verdict , then the experts will come back on , just like Brexit

How very dare you. Outside in the carpark now! ...you're not a big fella are you?

The way I see Lyon is a club run by Textor's creditors. Effectively in administration in all but name

So we have included Lyon to effectively apply to exclude them on the basis that UEFA failed to apply their financial eligibility criteria?

A 2 pronged appeal?

Our chances of getting the EUFA decision overturned by CAS is extremely slim. The fact we have included Forest and Lyon in the case, indicates our case against UEFA alone isnt strong enough.
We have about a 5% chance of winning.

If you applied that principle universally this site would not exist save for announcing the death of celebrities seeking unobtainable tickets and listing your most overrated bands.

Would that be your professional assessment?

Just the past record of CAS judgements.
Appeals are usually unsuccessful. If a decision rests on UEFAs interpretation of facts, CAS won't second guess such a subjective assessment or permit a retrial.

I suspect most appeals to CAS are of that ilk. Poorly funded sports folk, standing alone and appealing because they feel a decision was "unfair". Thus, you get rejection after rejection.

By comparison, Palace are a well funded commercial entity who can afford the best legal team. They are unlikely to attempt an appeal unless advised that the merits are worth it.

If the grounds of appeal were poor, I think the club would have reluctantly accepted UEFAs decision and planned early for the best league start.

They have not.
