Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

I don't see us being relegated but I think we all have to be realistic. We're not going to do as well in the league while competing in Europe unless our squad is miles bigger (and better). We also have to realise we're not exactly going to win both cups either. We're going to have to target and compromise.
I would think our priority should be Europe and staying up. I believe we can reach the very last stages of the Europa League quite realistically
Assuming we get to Europe, I would tend to agree with you. If we failed to qualify for the knockout phase of the Europa and got eliminated at the first attempt in the domestic cups, we would end up playing the same amount of games as this season if you ignore the Charity Shield (which should be another priority)

It's hard to see us going down. Since we won promotion, our points total has never varied by more than six from the prior campaign. Four times that would still see us safe going by the last two seasons

I don’t think anyone is really buying the fact that the Europa league cost spurs and Man U their league form, they’re too bigger clubs for that, despite what Ange at spurs said, they were both just crap plain and simple.

Personally after 50 years of watching Palace without it, I’m willing to take the chance that our league form could suffer and we might flirt with relegation for a minimum of 8 European games. As I said, with a handful of exceptions a season, the league can be pretty mundane stuff, especially at home, a few European games would add something we’ve never experienced before.
I can’t believe anyone wouldn’t want it just to make sure we can finish 12th again!!
Absolutely. Without something to aspire to makes football less appealing

If Johnson's involvement ensures we are in the Europa League then then one step at a time. He wants to be involved with winners and the optimal outcome would be he is prepared to pump in cash. Likely difficult for Parish to keep control but let's see what happens rather than speculate

Apparently this is being reported in other outlets so sounds like it has legs. Of course Johnson still has to pass the fit and proper tests but I expect that will be a formality.

I think this is what UEFA has been waiting for, it's their get out of jail free card. If they had kicked us out of the competition we would have taken them to CAS with a strong case. If they had allowed us in with Textor as part owner they would have faced legal action from Forest and possibly other clubs .

The transfer of ownership and approvals may take up to 3 months however UEFA will probably grant us a one off permission on the assumption the takeover will be approved thus negating most of the legals pitfalls.

"Yes but it's only the" Mail have picked it up too.

and the BBC

Hmmm, we’ve replaced one owner who only complained about having no control with another who might not be so understanding. Whilst I wasn’t at all keen on Textor, I’m not sure this is a leap forward for Palace, although of course we await an understanding of how the new structure will work? Same as before, or same but different?
