It was a mess pre Textor and his involvement has meant it's even worse.
It's hard to get into the minds of billionaires, but I've worked on these assumptions ;
* Harris and Blitzer are passive investors, content to leave the detail and running of the club to Parish
* However, as investors they are always looking for a bigger return / better opportunities
* When Textor came onboard his multi club ambitions were either not articulated or ignored until it became an issue.
* The vast majority of potential buyers of CPFC would want more control over the club than Harris and Blitzer are content with and Textor wants but doesn't have.
The irony here is that Steve Parish, while ( imo ) he has done a remarkable job, is potentially the biggest stumbling block when it comes to attracting those potential buyers.
If this costs us European Football, so be it - at least the FA Cup win can't be taken away from us.
However the fallout from that could of course see the manager and certain players being far from happy....
