Palace potentially denied entry to Europa League?

I think this is about Textor and we are caught in crossfire. He has admitted he didn't deal with politics of France/Europe well. I think it possible that UEFA will decide to review their position but is unlikely, however I suspect conversations are going on. As they have shown in previous cases they have wide latitude to compromise.
I suspect it will go to CAS the fact they have immediately changed rules will go against them as it effectively proves rules were unworkable. The loans / purchases by forest Lyon and Butafago show some possible cooperation between Eagle and Forest. Yet we have sold one player and are considered part of an MCO. The fact Textor is no longer a director and his sales are gone may give the area for compromise ie we are reinstated The court will ask which other clubs complied by 1st March who had not already qualified or were expected too. The Irish club had qualified so they were in breach so they can't be a precedent. But had Roma and Everton? My view is CAS will reinstate us and possibly give a penalty to ensure UEFA do not look totally stupid
Another rule that needs to change is that 6th in the French league is better than 12th in the Premier league. That is like saying that 6th in the Championship is better than 12th in the Premier league.
They are comparing potatoes to carrots!

This is way too optimistic. It reminds me of the good old days when we played Aldershot, Gillingham, and Hereford.
I was present and correct at Hereford in 1976 when Swindlehurst scored in a 1-1 draw. Paul Hammond was in goal.

I also have a vague recollection of watching our team at Aldershot when new signing John Love played. I believe we were defeated but I cannot recall the actual result. Our supporters were housed in the covered end behind the goal and I believe we were permitted to walk across the pitch to the exit after the game but this could have been in a dream ! Match was in the mists of time, probably 50 years ago !

Today CAS released their Verdict on FK Dac 1904 appeal against UEFA banning them from the Conference league.

These things stand out:

  • The original decision by UEFA was made on the 26th June but released to the media on the 30th June.
  • Dac appealed on the grounds that firstly, UEFA did not have the right to move the assessment date to the 1st March. Secondly, that neither club had decisive influence over the other.
  • UEFA argued that they did have the right to move the assessment date and several members of the same family had shares in both clubs along with nfluence in the governance of each.
  • CAS dismissed the appeal on the grounds that UEFAs statutes allowed them to move the date. Along with the Managing and sole director of Gyori ETO was also the CEO, vice president and board member of Dac. I hope our case does not rely on the same arguments.
We already know we have way more to argue with than that.

Just seen some financial expert talking to White and Jordan on Talksport and he seemed to say that we have appealed to CAS. Was that common knowledge and I've missed it?

He said that the Drogheda case was heard in 5 days and the other club took 10 but both got verdicts the same day.

Stephan Borson, who basically said we've got no chance, the FA sent out a memo in the autumn informing all prem clubs of the UEFA rule changes to prepare, arguing against the deadline won't work, some Slovak team just found that out, we'd have to convince them that Textor had zero influence before March 1 - that bit of paper that appeared a couple of weeks ago saying he had no say in running matters is our best chance apparently. But that document reminds of the suicide note that Joan Greenwood magically found at the end of Kind Hearts and Coronets to save Dennis Price from the noose if you like your Ealing Comedies.
