Ousmane Diomande

That a tease Willo, what developments?
We're at a bidding and counter bidding stage with Liverpool. Apparently, personal terms have been agreed.
They keep on trying to do a swap deal with Doak. But we want the cash. Plus, Doak has not agreed terms with us and doesn't want to go - just what I heard in the pub.
That's the issue with swap deals, clubs have to agree to valuations and players as makeweights need to want to go too.

They rate Elliot out of our price range.

If Guehi stays and doesn't sign a new deal then he stays on 50k per week. At Liverpool he'd probably get around 150k per week, so if he waits until his deal expires he misses out on around an additional £5 million in wages, plus the risk he has a bad season or gets injured, scuppering a deal next summer. I think Guehi's team will want this to happen now given his wage at Palace. If he were on 100k+ per week then I think he might be more patient.

For Palace it's tricky, if they bend over for Liverpool it sets a precedent, but if they don't sell it has implications with regard to PSR and future transfer activity. Can we afford to let our best players leave on a free?

Diomande looks some player, so if he signs I think we'll be fine whether Marc stays or goes; however, if Marc stays, you have to wonder how much money there would be left for other deals, unless we sell one of our other stars.

This would all make sense, I should think Palace, would want a cash deal. And as Silvertop, says £60mill if they want to spend £48mill on Diomande.
On the other hand if we were trying to get Doak, anyway and it has been rumoured for quite a while, then who knows. Maybe we could get enough cash so as to only have find a small amount to buy Diomande?

Would love to see it . It would be a big statement on which way the club is moving , but i just cant see it , at 50 million . Just my opinion . Where do we stand with the FFP.

We've still got a large chunk of the olise money in the bank and haven't spent a lot of money in one window since viera's first summer.

I think i read that villa the only club under threat from ffp.

A new financial year started 1st July so we'll have some more opportunity to spend

Who has been following the financials?

You are allowed up to £105m losses over 3 years, so on average £35m per year

If we made big losses 3 years ago then those won't count towards the new / current period so can start racking up some more spending. I would guess we have some good headroom because of the Olise and Andersen sales but the purchases like Lacroix, Munez, Nketiah, Franca, Esse quickly rack up big numbers too.
