He knows just as much as you, nothing. You just delight in slagging off Parish, it just makes you look stupid, after yesterday.
On the contrary, Parish is obviously the best chairman the club has had, can't really compare with those before 2010 who led the club to near ruin. The proof is in the pudding - solvent / success on the pitch with trophies in the cabinet / plans for stadium overhaul and improvement.
In the interviews he has given he has stressed the importance of remaining in the Premiership, and is realistic about the club's position in the pecking order for players. He's steered the ship steadily thus far.

I really hope things are progressing behind the scenes with appointing a new manager. I just feel that since Dougie left we are a yard of the pace on all things recruitment.

I doubt Parish has even made contact yet, let alone conducted a first interview. But nevermind! Palace are in next season's Europa Cup and so Parish has at least one obvious question he can ask...
Palace apparently held only slim hopes that they could get Iraola until his people agreed to meet for informal discussions. After this meeting Palace were said to be much more encouraged that a deal might be possible.
From what I have been told (and read a couple of times) an offer has been put to Iraola who was understandably taking a bit of time to decide what he wants to do. I imagine our now being able to offer guaranteed Europa League football might sway him. Obviously Milan and Leverkusen making contact with him lessens Palace's chances however if true that Iraola is clear he wants to stay in the Premiership and he holds an ambition to both live and work in London I'd say Palace are still in with a chance. Especially as Milan are in a mess on and off the pitch and Leverkusen are unlikely to give him either full control like we are offering nor will they be likely to be as patient as Palace are well known for being.

Apparently, we're offering a substantial transfer budget too.

Yes I did hear that but Parish has never been one to commit to a figure available. I'd imagine he'd have said none of the players you mention as wanting are out of our reach financially. And we'll do all we can to go after/get what you need.

BBC london reported, we have given Iraola until the weekend to give his answer. Lampard is 2nd choice and his odds are shortening.

In my opinion we would be taking a serious backward and downward step if Parish decides to install Lampard as our next manager. I honestly don’t think he has the skill or the attributes to take this club to the next level. Pierre Sage the Lens manager would be my choice personally, Tactically he is a manager that reads the game and counteracts the opposition very well. Plays mostly 3 4 3 which would suit our play. Might be a bit of a difficult appointment but then we can all wish.

As Lens under Sage have qualified for the Champions League by finishing runners-up to PSG, why would he want to come? Also, he's just finished the first year of a 3 year contract and given Lens their first ever French Cup triumph. I'd like him to come, though, if Iraola decides to go elsewhere.

Pace has never been our way with these things, when Doug was doing things we took our time but reached a decent decision eventually.

That can be good advice but not so much in this case.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting we should. But most often we do. We have always left things late. We do most of our transfer business late, and that's been the same under multiple Directors of Football.

Dougie was a fantastic DOF but not someone that acted quickly.

It remains to be seen with Hobbs, I thought he might be different in that aspect when we signed Johnson on the 1st of Jan, but then nothing else happened until literally deadline day so was it just a unique deal? It will be easier to sus his style in this current window.
