I would be even more disappointed if it were Wayne Rooney, who is also in the market for a job in Management (even though he has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he can't). My concern is that any new Manager has to cope with SP, who really just wants a team head coach who has noting to do with transfers in or out. This has been based on antecedent evidence, meaning many good managers will be put off coming here as they want to protect their own reputation going forward which is difficult to do under the current regime. The summer transfer window is going to be so important and needs a lot of clever management of in and out's something which SP just does not have!I honestly think that we’ll get at a younger manager who will recognise what a good stable, supportive environment Palace can provide. I hope it’s Iriola. But wouldn’t be disappointed if it was Lampard.
I think we’re a very attractive proposition for any young manager.
