New Manager Planning

I had thought this would be the case, assuming it's all true and pans out as such.

OG strikes me as intentionally wanting only to spend a short period anywhere and somewhere he can have an impact (Palace). TBF he has. Perhaps that's his preferred contract style, perhaps he even holds some fear around being at a 'big club' with expectations to deliver immediately and continually for an extended period? Deliberately avoiding any proverbial 'poison chalices'.

Who knows, although I think his vocal dissapointment in our reluctance to build upon last season immediately probably reflects his frustration as he didn't intend on being here any longer than 'til the end of this season.

I'm sorry to say it but whatever high we have been on, I can't see that being the case with a new manager regardless of who comes in and we'll do extremely well to not crash back to our identity of yesteryear.

Most of these reports online come from some Spanish outlet and why would they have any information about an English club with an Austrian manager? I assume maybe the Getafe manager is looking for an upgrade and his agent is leaking it.

Both parties have mentioned they will speak in January. So until the club say he's off, let's assume it's complete bullshit. Don't forget that Olise was definitely off to Chelsea at one point.

He is an Idiot if he leaves, he will not get the players 100% backing at a "big club", he wont get on with the big egos, and if he starts dictating to the chairman he will fail badly, 6 months at the most, he is the emperors new clothes, every player, manager has a ceiling, and this is his.

It could be a short meeting. "Sorry Steve I'm off"
Because some twitter feed I've never heard of says he wont renew his contract?
I'd imagine Glasner is a bit more professional than to leak the news that he's leaving. I'm not insisting he is staying. Far from it but I'm not going to believe tittle tattle from a nobody. As far as I'm concerned I'll wait to hear it from the club or from Glasner himself before I accept it.
There was gossip generated the other day about Glasner and Parish's relationship being 'poor'. Thats not what OG himself said only a couple of weeks back. That he has a great relationship with Steve Parish and that they speak numerous times a day.
This is why I just dont buy into the second or third hand gossip until its confirmed.

I suspect that Steve Parish knows which way the wind is blowing and has known for some time. 😛
Not necessarily. If its been agreed they plan to find time to sit down in January then how is it possible that Parish knows the future?
Unless he himself has decided to not renew OG's contract. This would be extremely unlikely. He is the most successful manager the club has ever had.

Glasner has his pre match conference tomorrow at 2 pm, and it seems inevitable that he will be asked about this.
I suspect he will be non committal and again say that with the busy schedule there's neen no time to sit down for discussions.
It doesn't look hopeful, but thereagain I'm a pessimist.

I can't help but agree with this. Petulance won't wash if he goes to a 'bigger' club.

And we will still be Crystal Palace :ireland::england::football:

The latter scenario is out of the question.
We can all form opinions based on what we believe is the probability of Glasner being at the helm next season. There are those who add substantive and experiential thinking to often speculative supposition.

That sentence encapsulates Homesdale.net perfectly.

You maybe could drop it, we all know your opinion by now. And perhaps be a little cautious with pretending and presenting a personal opinion like facts.

If what you say happens , it could. He would get possibly double figure millions in compensation and be welcomed by clubs that are our size, straight away.

Said the same to my Mrs years ago when we stretched ourselves and made a big house move. “F*ck it, if it goes wonky, we can move back to one like this”
Fortune favours the brave.
Hope he stays though 😀

Disappointing. I think he will get a big offer but it won't work out. The big player egos and expectations from fans to have all the ball isn't going to suit his style.
