Moyes to replace Glasner?

I would hasten a guess that the Moyes teams that finished in European spots or even won the Conference League didn't do so by having nil shots on target!

At some point they would've had to score a few goals and I've been there when 2 of his teams have beaten Palace 4-0!

Obviously, but in general he’s organised and defensive and not very forward thinking as any West Ham fan will tell you. Even Roy’s Palace had moments in time where we looked good and scored a few goals, for example Leeds where we scored five, but if the opposition is bad enough even defensive minded managers will have a bit of joy.
Also West Ham have a lot more spending power and quality than us because of the tax payers stadium and it’s 60,000 capacity, so do you seriously think if he came to us in the near future after our start and with our squad he’d be anything other than defence minded?

I've supported Palace since the early 1990s so I've seen a lifetime's worth of dross in my time. Mentioning Ollie is apposite, as, much like Glasner, he didn't seem to have a clue how to get a performance or even a reaction out of his team.

I also don't think I'm catastrophising - going down wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, and as I mentioned before, we've had an unexpectedly long run in the top flight with plenty of great moments.

It's like this: most seasons there's a team which is relegated (or comes close to it) that nobody on the outside expected, but for those in the know, the signs were there. This year, it's us. It's a combination of a false dawn under a new manager; the loss of an exceptionally gifted player and a few more reliable hands, with poor quality replacements; and the rare season in which the teams that usually struggle seem to be performing well.

I may well be completely wrong, but the next few fixtures look daunting, and it's not hard to see us come early December still without a win and, inevitably, without a manager – and in classic Parish fashion, he'll pull the trigger without having a replacement in mind.

The definition of catastrophe is an event that causes great damage. Palace have slowly established themselves in the Premier League and Parish is doing absolutely the right thing trying to reinvigorate Selhurst Park and increase our matchday revenue, which in London can always be higher than clubs outside of London per person. I want to see Palace in Europe and competing for honours. We have been to two cup finals and if Leicester, Swansea, West Ham can win major honours, so can we.

You saying relegation would not be the worst thing to happen, and I say to you it would be 100% the worst thing to happen. It would set us back years.

Regardless, being so insistently certain that we are already down in October with less than 1/4 of the season gone, and feeling fine about our inevitable relegation, is beyond idiotic.

I really hope OG can turn it around. He looked bewildered tonight I thought, culminating in bizarre subs and positioning of players. The fact that message boards are talking about replacing him plus the press and TV does worry me. It becomes like a runaway train that you can't stop. The only way to do it is to win a game or two. But that seems a long way away ATM. If we lose badly on Saturday that might be the final straw. I remain convinced that our squad is too good to go down whoever is manager.

Do not be surprised if Parish turns to Hodgson,Pardew or McCarthy until the end of the season if we remain without a win by Xmas.

Roy is not coming back after what happened last season. Pardew is a real throw back, so is McCarthy.

Maybe Big Sam because of what he did last time and ended on a high note. That 3-0 win over Arsenal is one of my all time favorite games. Most likely Moyes tho, if we are desperate.

I am still hopeful Glasner can get a minimum of 4 points from the next 3. We have to beat Fulham or Wolves. No wins from the next 3 and he needs to be sacked.

If we lose badly on Saturday we are well fecked. We are playing on Sunday 😀

They also had the money from Rice. They seem to make at least one big aawful transfer every year. Cornet. Scamacca, Ings and Ward-Prowse in the last couple of years come to mind and Kilman and Fullkrug have hardly hit the ground running this season

Is the right answer...

you got to look at the board... parish in particular.

He says he wants to see the football change at selhurst, playing out from the back, sweeping lines etc but then the marketing and DNA of the club is urban 'south london' cage football all written in graffiti.

so he brings in FDB, then quickly replaces with Roy, brings in PVA, then brings back Roy, Brings in OG now looks set to playing it safe.

We don't have the youth set up with that mind set, we don't have the budget to overhaul a squad... We need to be defensively solid, we need to have some local lads with flair, we need to counter and give it a go.. we need to be solid to not get relegated, but good enough to not break the bank to get one position higher.

it's ok to be an under dog, it's ok to be mid table... but lord sake this prem lark is no fun..

You’re right, relegation wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen. First would be being wound up and going out of existence. Second would be administration again. Third would be relegation. Relegation rips most clubs like us enough that they have no hope of returning again for another 10-15 years unless a rich benefactor comes in that would now be difficult to benefit from under financial fair rules.

Having Roy back would be a disaster and make us (if we're not already) a laughing stock.
The old guy is spent. The thought of returning to Royball is too painful.

We losing by the odd goal not getting slaughtered. I think someone needs to breath some fire into the players' bellies. Then sort out the small matter of scoring ........ Bingo!

Experienced managers Neil Warnock, Chris Hughton and Mark Hughes are not in management.
Jesus Christ at least name managers who’ve managed in the premier league or just managed in any league this decade. There’s no chance we’ll hire someone out of prem management for long. The game evolves too fast these days.

Whilst I do have confidence in the team (Ollie included) turning this around I am really concerned about the lack of energy levels giving them the ability to do so.
In our purple patch last year we just looked so much more physically dominant which gave OG so many more options in selections and substitutions. We look second best physically in all our games now....does this come from shattered confidence or is there something wrong with out training regime?
