More covid

I'm uncomfortable discussing abortion on here as it's one of the few issues that I get genuinely upset about. We would probably only partially agree so it's best left untouched.

What I will say is I'm very sorry to hear about your loss and later difficulties I'm very aware of just how serious it gets.

Yeah agreed. I am very much ‘your body your choice’ when it comes to both vaccinations and abortions though just to provide some sort of consistency in my viewpoint.

I am sorry you went through that. We also went through one last Christmas. Whatever our differences are my heart goes out to you.

It's a nightmare, so sorry you two had this happen mate.

Our current pregnancy we heard the heart beat at 7 weeks on an early scan and then again at 10 weeks. No one will tell me our child was not alive then.

100 percent.

Members of my family also got pregnant very young and one was the result of an abusive relationship and I can never imagine life without those kids.

100 percent.

All I will say is I will forever be pro life and it's okay if you are not and that maybe it's a subject for another thread.

You're the man fella.

That's the line. The last one.

How would you have implemented it against those who wished to stay unvaccinated.

You wouldn't have been able to do it physically yourself. You would have had to get a group of nasty assholes that were paid enough to perform anything, to achieve the ends you wanted. Same as it ever was.

Real men take care of their own business.

Yep, and worse still, he is still taking that line with the benefit of hindsight.

The truth has come out. Fauci's lying to the public, pregnant women being misled about the risks and miscarrying as a consequence, covid risks being exaggerated, ...its all there.

And he would still force it on people against their will.

That's one evil c*** hiding behind a veil of pretentious waffle.

The Government. "Have a crap life or don't have a crap life" " Your choice. But we gave you the choices."
You are entitled to both your opinion and to vote for another government.

Whilst we have any government it’s them that make the rules. That applies to both of us and everyone else.

No life is crap. Every life is precious. Preserving it, once it exists, is one of the duties of government.

So some people resented having their lives restricted. Some smokers resented not being allowed to smoke in public. All of them still had their lives. Probably much healthier ones!

As was proved in those countries which tried mandatory requirements it often made the problem worse as people like you dug their heels in. So I recognise the practical problems. Requiring certification before accessing all publicly facilities is probably the most effective way of implementation. You are still free to refuse but the only ones suffering are you and those you live with.

Real men act responsibly. Both to their families and society as a whole.

Anyone who has been close to a pregnancy and a birth, or a termination, is emotionally impacted by it. That includes me and, I expect, the majority of those posting here.

We are all “pro life”. The differences are only though what we understand by that. For many years I was fervently opposed to abortion in any circumstances. My emotional responses dominated. As I got older my reasoning allowed rationality to take over. The rational thought being summarised in this explanation. It might not help now, but it could in future:-

“Sentient life—defined as the capacity to feel, perceive, or experience subjective sensations like pain or pleasure—is generally estimated by neuroscientists to begin around 24 to 28 weeks of fetal development, when thalamocortical pathways connecting the brain's thalamus to the cortex begin to form and function.

It is important to separate sentience (the ability to experience sensations) from biological life (which scientists widely agree starts at fertilization/conception).

Scientific and Medical Perspectives
  • Fertilization: Biologists generally agree that a distinct biological human organism begins at fertilization when a sperm and egg fuse, creating unique DNA. However, this marks biological life, not sentience.
  • Early Brain Activity: Primitive electrical activity in the neural tube starts around 5 to 6 weeks, but this is basic cellular function, not conscious experience.
  • Threshold of Sentience: Most researchers indicate that functional neural circuits required for subjective awareness and processing tactile or painful stimuli do not operate until the third trimester, approximately 24 to 30 weeks gestation.

Or those so terrified could stay indoors and leave everyone else alone.

Personally I'd stay off this subject Wisbech. You obviously have no idea how to read the room.

Or those so terrified could stay indoors and leave everyone else alone.
Why should those complying with requests to participate in a national effort be disadvantaged instead of those who don’t?

No, the choice existed for all. The benefits were explained. If not trusted or accepted by some then they must bear the consequences. Governments will try to ensure minorities are protected as much as possible but their primary duty is to majority interests.

You can do whatever your prejudices dictate.

I will tell the truth, as I see it, to all. I learned 70 years ago never to be intimidated by a baying crowd of know it alls, when I know the truth. They may not agree, especially at first, but the truth will always triumph.

If he wants to talk about Biology then by all means let him explain to us what a woman is.
You are obsessed with a very simple subject that doesn’t really require any explanation.

Biological sex is straightforward. Not always binary, but straightforward. Gender isn’t. People can feel they have been born in the wrong body. Their perceptions don’t match their physical appearance.

Not trusting the claimed benefits when they turned out not to be true?

A simple "A woman is an adult human female with two XX chromosomes" would suffice.
