Sadly Mark has died at 86. Fondly remembered by all who saw him play.
RIP.
RIP.
When did Bobby Woodruff die? never seen any announcement of his passing. He still kept in touch with Palace players from his era. My mate met him at Bobby Woodruff's funeral.
RIP Mark.
I have certainly not heard that he has passed away. When did Bobby Woodruff die? never seen any announcement of his passing.
Who can forget his trademark lap of honour after scoring. One of the very best lower league players of any era, came to Palace , later in his career, though still a real handful. He entertained us then, but he did that every time he came to Selhurst over the years as opposition with QPR, not just his skilful wing play but his constant banter with the touch line fans.
RIP Mark, unforgettable.
wikipedia reckons hes still going, aged 85When did Bobby Woodruff die? never seen any announcement of his passing.
I have just thought of the following players from the 60s, no longer with us :RIP Mark. Condolences to his family and friends. Can’t be many of my ‘60’s heroes still with us now, sadly.🙏
Phil Hoadley and Danny Light spring to mindI have just thought of the following players from the 60s, no longer with us :
Presland, Long, Summersby, McCormick, Sewell, Byrne, John Jackson, Petchey, Dowsett.
Further thought would reveal others as well.
