Marc Guehi

Sorry to bring it back to seriousness after Teddy Eagle's brilliant video.

Full support to Marc Guehi from me. The point is that in a free society it is totally wrong to force / pressure people to demonstrate allegiance to any particular belief system. In a free society the key is tolerance, not agreement. It is extremely important that we accept others' freedom to live their lives as they wish, to love who they want to, to dress how they wish to, but it is not a requirement for us to approve, let alone effectively be forced to show our approval and support.

For my own part I am very supportive of gay rights and attended a Pride event this year, and I object to racism. But I also object to footballers being required to wear rainbow armbands and to take the knee - these things seem to me to be the thin end of the wedge towards a tyrannical society where dissent (aka freedom of thought and expression) is banned, and where you can only have a proper life if you adhere to the approved belief system.

I only got through 2 mins of it and that was enough.

I don't agree with the tone of the video although he was correct about the FA pushing this onto players.

If the FA wishes to have a campaign that is on them you don't need to involve the players on match day.

On the BBS there are some nasty comments about Guehi which he doesn't deserve it appears that anyone who doesn't promote Pride is homophobic.

The FA should be ashamed of themselves putting players on the spot where if they don't wish to get involved in politics they then have to explain themselves.

I guess this is the crux. Being accepting and supporting of others, shouldn't mean that you have to actively promote a specific subset. (Especially when that subsets behaviour goes against your views)

I doubt that Marc is interested if men want to f**k men, women want to f**k women, men want to f*ck men dressed as women, ‘them’ want to f**k ‘them’. What’s any of it got to do with football ? So boring. do what you want ,with who you want, when you want (as long as it’s consensual), if you want to go to a football match, go. Religion/politics aren’t allowed to be seen in football , why is all this shi*t, taking the knee b*llocks. No one’s interested anymore.
