I wish I knew what is going through Guehi’s mind at this time. I’m sure if Parish had said to him we want you to stay until contract ends then I’m sure he would have said no problem. Similarly, when Parish said, given that you won’t sign a new contract we need to sell you he probably said no problem. However, we have made a hash of it by not lining up a replacement when the sale decision had been made and had to let him down. One hopes that Guehi gets to read Henry Winter's balanced yet sublime appraisalView attachment 1924:

Well, we do have less money in the ATMThink Guehi staying for a while longer is the best thing since sliced bread , I’m happy to roll with it and see it as a positive , We haven’t lost anything ATM and there’s bound to be some twists and turns before the fat lady sings , £28 million is a p*ss take and glad we turned it down , Worth every penny to see the scousers crying online like spoilt babies ..
It was God's, OG's and Igor's wish that Marc stayed as well as many Palace fans. With Guehi's beliefs he may just conclude that God works in mysterious ways.
In what way ?Well, we do have less money in the ATM
Absolutely, it will be that or a belief that it's not the right time to move after all. And he'll carry on leading by example which may well result in the big European teams becoming suitors before the season is out. With Guehi's beliefs he may just conclude that God works in mysterious ways.
I think this has been ongoing and happening since at least the Newcastle bids last January, if not longer than that.Im hoping we have a grown up meeting with MG to discuss his financial/career wishes and the implications of those for CPFC. Assuming our new board supports things we should be able to find a positive solution moving forwards for both parties.
In the meantime, we have got a very interesting squad with some new acquisitions and we've still got our captain and world class defender who showed us he can score incredible goals.
With Glasner at the helm, we showed yet again (against Villa) we are quite capable of beating top opposition and I believe being in the top third of the table.
Once OG has worked out his best options with available players we should be on track to continue our phenomenal performances on the pitch.
