Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Maguire = cheat. Pretended he had been kicked in the face when ref gave foul against SL for a dangerous high kick, which went nowhere near Maguire's face. Plus it was more of a foul against SL than by SL in the first place.
Bet Lily Munster gave him a coating when he got back to Mockingbird Lane.

Also Maguire obstructed Guessand, elbowing him in the stomach in the process, to which the commentator said Guessand was making a meal of it (clearly a heavy blow), but when earlier he'd seen Maguire fake being kicked in the head I don't think he said anything. I don't think it's worth analysing Sky's commentary team though, as that was clearly biased to a laughable extent.

Yes that foul on Guessand really angered me. The talentless lump aka Maguire wasn't even looking at the ball. Put his head down and shoulder barged straight into Guessand. Definite yellow card.
The Strand-Larson high kick should have been a foul. Its illegal to raise your boot to head height. But Maguire lied about being caught in the face. Correct decision should have been a free kick to United and a yellow card for Maguire for simulation.
As for the game changing moment, its debatable whether in an era of players constantly pushing, shoving and shirt pulling a hand on the shoulder is actually a foul but if it is it is a free kick outside the box. Its not a penalty because it occurred outside the box and its not a red card because Max did not dfeny an obvious goalscoring opportunity. If you watch the video you can clearly see that if Cunha had stayed on his feet he was unlikely to get to the ball before Hendo so no obvious goalscoring opportunity. This is why he opted to dive in the first place.
