Mackerel & Sardines ?

years ago I caught , then cooked some mackerel. Essentially bottom-feeders, which put me off eating them. They are fragrant. However, grilling them turns the aroma volume down, then a splash of lemon and some toast turns them into a breakfast you'll be tasting until bedtime.

Nothing fancy.

Mash sardines into a baked potato with some no added sugar ketchup. Throw in some salad on the side.

Very filling.

I make a sardine pate using tinned sardines. Put the sardines in a bowl and mash them up. Add some finely chopped red onion, crushed garlic, mayonnaise, black pepper and mix in. If you like herbs , chop up the herb of your choice ( I love coriander) and add. This goes well on toasted sourdough.
