Leeds Predictions.

I hope none of this transpires. Far too early to sack Sage especially given the huge change in the playing squad over the summer and inherited issues (Sarr & JP). I trust SP to do whats right for the club. Various other clubs are having to deal with big changes over the summer (losing good managers and top players) eg Newcastle and Villa. Even those clubs who have spent massively arent exactly firing either, especially Spurs. The only clubs doing well are Arsenal, Man City, Hull and Leeds.

Need for cool heads and patience. Remember the clamouring by the fans for the club to increase the depth of the squad to cope with the extra games in Europe. That has been answered. The players are still settling in, it will take more than 4 games for Sage to find his best starting 11. Timber and Khalaili have shown good promise so far and getting Chilwell back was a wise move. We are scoring more goals which is a positive over last season. I am hoping to see Doucoure's battling qualities in midfield. Sean Dyche is a pragmatist type manager in the mold of Roy Hodgson. Is that the type of manager we want? If Sage doesnt last, I would much prefer a more progressive style manager such as Eddie Howe.

As for Leeds this weekend, we lost there 4-1 last December with a back five of Mitchell, Clyne, Guehi, Lacroix and Richards so with our new defence and missing Disasi am expecting we will lose. A point would be a great result.

Leeds 3 Palace 1.
I do

Leeds play 3 in Central Midfield, we have to match their 3, my team would be,

Canvot Richards Tomiyasu Mitchell Pino Kamada Timber Hughes McNeil
Larsen

My first ever away games were the Chelsea game and the semi final in that cup run
The violence at the Chelsea game scared the crap out of the eleven year old me!!

Another game I went to. When they show the old MOTD footage I can see me clearly trying to get out of the way of the fighting at our end. I remember there being lots of coverage because someone (not sure if Palace or Chelsea) was doing kung fu kicks.

Went to the semi-final as well and was gutted at missing out on the Wembley final. That would have been really special as we were in the old third division (League 1) then. Don't remember much about the game other than Peter Rodrigues nearly crippled Peter Taylor in the first few minutes and Southampton got a penalty for a foul that was well outside the box.

All made worse the next day when I met Barry Lloyd who played for Fulham then and went on to manage Brighton. He used to drink at Hayes Cricket Club and couldn't resist taking the p*ss out of probably the only Palace supporter he had ever met that lived in West London.

Still experiences like these all made our cup win in 25 EVEN more special!!

I would definitely be in favour of putting Lerma in the back 3. Hopefully Canvot has sorted himself out and proved to Sage he is ready to be back in there. His performances have been below his usual standard this season. As for Richards, he plays better when he is playing with better players. Thats usually true of most players but In Richards case its glaringly true.
If those three do their jobs there is no reason why we cant stick with Kalaili and Mitchell as full backs. Leeds will be wary of both their pace and attacking threat. Stick Timber in in front of that and there is every chance we can keep it tight.
We have midfielders that can hurt Leeds and a lone striker that is finding some form.

I remain adamant we'd have beaten Ipswich with 11 men on the pitch. Leeds will be a harder prospect but by no means are they unbeatable. I'm going to say 1-1 but dont be surprised to see us nick it late on 1-2.
