Labour Party politics

Yep, completely agree with this. Weird how much its terrified him.
They're going to have to employ all of Blair's mates on big bucks, in order to learn anything about the reality of public opinion and politics. Whatever the state of society and the country, Labour as a political party are awful. They do not have a clue on policy or even the bare minimum way to present themselves to the electorate in a positive way.
They started off with donation issues. Went on to reverse promises they just made and then started admitting that immigration was out of control. Which was not long after they said they'd deal with it. That's just a couple of things. Policing, Southport, benefit cuts, tax rises, council tax rises, actual cost of living. Nothing has been dealt with or shows any sign of improvement.
Blair would have done the same but we all would have loved it. That's the difference - presentation really.
Think about this: Would you buy anything of off Starmer if he were a salesman? The only way you would was if you felt sorry for him. Blair though, you'd buy everything and the warranty. Then you'd be pissed off you spunked all your money when you got home. But at least you'd have some completely pointless thing to show your mates.
Starmer - you'd more likely have something taken away and get told you still have to pay for it. You'd curse him and never go back.

Funnily enough, I've recently had a very serious operation on my spine to save me from ending up in a wheelchair. It was carried out by a magnificent spinal surgeon who, believe it or not, was a student once.

How strange that people can go from from knowing **** all to such magnificence in so few years.

Phew!
Did you have it removed?

A former Supreme Court judge recently said that it was a myth that Churchill was in favour of a European Court of Human Rights having power over the UK.

He did believe in a Human Rights court but for Europe where many countries did not have a track record of democracy. He never intended a European Court that overruled UK law.

You might say that made him a little Englander well fair enough it certainly did not make him in favour of the ECHR. Likewise he was in favour of a proto EU but that did not include the UK.

With the, then, Common Market he was in agreement with Adenauer and de Gaulle, neither of whom wanted the UK to join.
