Kamada

Oh for a McArthur.
What would he be worth these days?
A genuine all round midfielder.
He could play in a 2 3 or 4 man midfield.
He could sit in a deep lying role or in the advanced role.
Under Roy he also took wide midfield roles.
De Boer acclaimed him as the best finisher at the club and Pardew said if you had a team of '11 McArthurs' you wouldn't go far wrong.
Warnock acclaimed him as one of his best ever signings.

It's a sad indictment of the modern game that midfield players are pigeon-holed e.g 'he can only play as a number 6.'

One of my favourite teams to watch at present is PSG.
When the team defends the midfielders defend, when the teams attack the midfielders attack.
It's that fluidity which makes them so good to watch.

My view hasn't ever changed on Kamada. He's a good technical player who keeps the ball ticking over, but hasn't contributed anywhere near enough. When he leaves, I think he'll be quickly forgotten. It's a shame, as performances like last Thursday show he could have done so much more.
Agree, He's a top earner that hasn't done enough in his 2 seasons, SP right decision not to offer new contract.

How good is Kamada?
There's much debate on here , but market forces will help in determining.
Will end up at a Bayern Munich, a Lyon or a Saudi club?

He's definitely not Bayern level, but I'd imagine there will be no shortage of Europa League level clubs sniffing around him - that's about his level IMO.

He wont end up at Bayern Munich.

But would expect him to end up at one of the 2nd tier clubs Milan, Juve, Roma, Leverkusen, Dortmund etc

Likely one of that type of club that gets a Europa place.

you've mentioned this before and i feel it is not 100% true.

Yes when we defend we have two No6's but when we attack we have more freedom as they know they have an extra defender behind.

As per any midfield two one has licence to go forward when we attack. I'd say their position is a combined 6 and 8 (clearly not a 10) .

Others in that position for other teams who sit in front of 2 CBS usually score a couple a season.

Our four haven't scored one between them - this is a damning stat
I agree it is a damning stat and they should have scored at least a couple a season each (all have had good chances) but I don’t think they exactly have a license to go forward. I think it is mainly our system, they aren’t encouraged to shoot from range or run past the forwards, but when they have had chances their finishing has been woeful.

Appreciate the debate. Just as a bit of fun, if I was to rate them out of 10 on the six key FIFA attributes, it would look a little something like this:

SPEED - Kamada 7, Hughes 5
SHOOTING - Kamada 5, Hughes 4
TACKLING - Kamada 3, Hughes 7
PASSING - Kamada 6, Hughes 6
DRIBBLING - Kamada 6, Hughes 5
PHYSICALITY - Kamada 3, Hughes 7

Kamada -30.
Hughes - 34.

Your probably not far wrong there, especially as you've ended up giving Kamada 30/60. Sounds about right.
