I do think it was a last desperate attempt to Persuade Ollie to stay, but l very much doubt he ‘bullied’ SP into it, Glasner had made his mind up to leave long before then whatever we did

Any such "Persuasion" was not on the agenda.
Even if it wasn't specifically to satisfy Glasner, having Ollie bang on about not having enough players and Textor banging on about Parish not spending etc will have entered the subconscious.

Yeah, add in that we were in free fall in the league, Mateta was injured, Sarr had been at AFCON, Nketiah’s fitness completely unreliable and we had literally nobody else who ever scored.
The season ended well, we didn’t go down and we won a European trophy… but if Parish was nervous he wasn’t the only one.
