Israel v Hamas

Ok great. Do you accept that in bombing campaigns during a war that civilians will unfortunately be killed in error. A simple yes or no.
Of course.

Obviously the IDF are not doing anything 'in error' - they are wilfully and knowingly bombing places that will result in huge civilians losses, but they don't care.

I don't think they care....sure.....I'm not sure that you want a 'caring' military.

However, if the aim was to kill as many as possible then they aren't being very effective as they are up to 50,000, which isn't even what we managed to do over four nights in Dresden eighty odd years ago.

I'm pretty sure if they could get them to leave they would rather do that. Hamas won't let them leave regardless.

Bombing them out is too expensive....starving them out not so much.

I wonder if they are setting up camps in Syria yet.

Ironically if a movement started outside Gaza in other countries and cities, although there would be no physical punishment the gazans will certainly become emboldened and their numbers would rise until Hamas were attacked and defeated internally. This is the way that Gaza stops being attacked.

I take no glee from human suffering even if I have a side or don't have a side.

I want to make the point that most people involved in conflicts around the world are not involved in killing people. They are just trying to get through a day with shelter over their head and food in their belly. I am not deaf to the killing of these innocents. These are poor people, with very little opportunity or future and the human suffering hurts me.

There has to be a better way.

Proper fairy tale stuff.

It’s happened in other places about 20 years ago. Ironic really that the ‘Arab spring’ , where all these people ‘took’ their countries back basically fecked them selves. That’s how scummy Hamas got into power and other terror groups.
How’s it go “ don’t wish too hard or you might get what you wish for”.
2 TK for the next four years here as an ie.
It can happen in Gaza but they need to decide what they want.

Will there be any voters left ?

And what sort of organisation is going to oversee the process in order that any result is fair ?

The killing continues, by firepower, starvation, exposure, or lack of medical facilities.

And the media are barred access to report on it.
