Yes, McAhuna’s post at #6769 outlining the Legal Definition of Genocide, as defined by the UNGC was incorrect and omitted a vital and required element; either the word ‘protected’ or their full definition, ‘In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group’.

McAhuna was either intentionally selective or just unintentionally wrong, either way it’s not helpful. It does however offer some explanation as to why expressed views and conclusions are often so wide of the mark.

He posted the actions but not those it applied to and importantly did not apply to.

Why not just say you didn't mean to include it?

Yes, the testimony of journalists who have reported from numerous war zones is obviously part of the evidence.

No doubt you’ll give me the secondary school explanation that journalists can be biased or imperfect sources. But for the grown ups, that doesn’t make their testimony worthless , it makes it one piece of the evidential picture.

You know, like in a trial, where evidence that proves little or nothing in isolation can still be relevant when considered alongside other evidence and used to build the overall case.

I thought maybe a lawyer analogy would help you.

Israel banned international journalists from Gaza for two years so what journalists are you talking about?

Maybe the bloke down the pub has a view too, or Rachel Marsh.

Like the guy who made the BBC " documentary " starring the kid og the Hamas official.

So basically your journalist evidence will be coming from Palestiunians and others allowed by Hamas .

Well I would have thought yes as women apparently have died in their 1000s.
Genocide is an extermination of a society.
Israel are not very good at it as gazas society is increasing in numbers. Someone got their definitions wrong somewhere! I don’t know the birth rate in 2023 so enlighten me !
Also app 130000 births and 73000 deaths since 2023. Do I need Einstein for that sum?
