Yes, McAhuna’s post at #6769 outlining the Legal Definition of Genocide, as defined by the UNGC was incorrect and omitted a vital and required element; either the word ‘protected’ or their full definition, ‘In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group’.
McAhuna was either intentionally selective or just unintentionally wrong, either way it’s not helpful. It does however offer some explanation as to why expressed views and conclusions are often so wide of the mark.
