Is the club defrauding loyal supporters?

Is the club at it again?

Where is my FA cup final commerative ticket?

Once again, just not good enough!
Yep haven’t got mine yet. Apparently poster on bbs has been told early August! Can’t understand why this is taking so long, totally inept and unacceptable. The club really needs to have a complete overhaul of off field operations

Hate to forecast bad news, but I suspect that when they arrive, most will be disappointed. If all the previous games are anything to go by (where there have been commemorative tickets) these are usually credit card sized pieces of plastic that you would normally find on the end of a lanyard, not a replica ticket.

I am sure many wil say that it has their seat details on the back so it's still a souvenir, but it's stretching it a bit to say it's replicating a ticket.

I’ve been stitched up for about 1000 points or more on my ID. I’ve sat with the same blokes in the same seats for 25 years, give or take here and there we do the same away games and if anything I spend more in the club shop, yet I’ve slipped about 1500 and 1000 points behind them. This is clearly where a couple of season ticket renewal points haven’t been added as it’s 500 points a go.
I admit I should have got on the case years ago when we noticed, but it’s never been an issue until end of last season when I kept falling in the phase below them for our big games and a few London away games. We got round it with other peoples ID etc, but I thought I’d phone the box office and query it, well I got the expected reply, “duh, dunno!! We can’t check back more than a year since the switch to ticketmaster”

I know I should’ve tried sorting it yonks ago, but keep an eye on your points people

My daughter ordered a father's day present on Saturday 7th June. No sign of it being delivered still. Father's day having been and gone on 15th June. Spent a total of two hours over two days trying to get an answer from the club shop phone number
No reply, just glad all over being played repeatedly when ringing. I told her to try the box office phone number to ask if they could transfer the call. The answer was NO sorry.
The bloke on the line told her to send an email and gave her the address to send it to.
This was last Friday 14th June.
She received a reply on Monday 16th June stating that they had a backlog of orders which they were trying to through
But they said it would take five working days to send the order. Obviously this time scale had already expired .
Then when you look on the Palace website yesterday, 17th June, they have a big advert saying order your FA Cup souvenirs ,showing them all as pre order.
Which seems to me they are waiting for the stock to come.
Unbelievable really,as there must have been loads of disappointed Fathers on Sunday.
Amazing though they still managed to take the money out of my daughters bank account.
This sums up Palace.
Purporting to be a big premier league club, but acting very small when dealing with supporters.
My daughter, me or anyone else is not going to bother ordering anything else on line from Palace with this sort of service.
By the way as of today, ten days later ,nothing has arrived.
Rant over.

Hardly a surprise, everyone knows it goes on, on an industrial scale.

'Tourist' fans massively push up the prices these sellers charge because they are desperate to attend on the limited date that they have to go to a game.

It seems it's not just Palace.
We know that at Chelsea it's the club behind this, Todd what his name owns a resale ticket site.

For the rest of the PL clubs including Palace the question remains. Is this a deliberate club policy or is some shyster in the box office earning a few extra quid. Either way they need to get a grip on it.

If the club really wants to earn then perhaps be honest and tell the supporters this part of the ground is for tourists and we will charge big money.

On this very thread we have had gold members who work in IT, who have said they literally couldn't have got onto the ticketing site any quicker (for Cat A home games against the top clubs) and there literally was next to no pairs of seats available.

It's either tout bots at work, or the club literally feed "travel and ticket package agencies" with a number of tickets, and for the best home games, it could be the majority of seats.

I know that Brentford and Everton both have official agencies that they work with, whereby the agency presumably pays over face value for the match tickets, but then sells them as premium seating.

Even Newcastle had an agency buying a block of 45 tickets for their game against Barcelona recently, until pressure from their ticketless members made them cancel them.

Liverpool opened a whole new top tier above the away fans a couple of years ago, and didn't make any of the new seats available as season tickets, they are all match by match tickets, and it is crammed with foreign tourists who will have paid well over the odds for a 'package', at the cost of local supporters.
