Certainly hope not, but it's clear RB Leipzig, whose sporting director is a certain Jurgen Klopp, want him, confirmed in BBC gossip talk, the issue is how much control he would get over incoming players. Hopefully we'll win the cup, qualify for Europe, the new stand construction will get underway, Glasner gets an eye-wateringly large long term contract and a year's supply of Wiener schnitzels. Bit of a worry though, bit touch and go. At least one more season would be nice and a successor lined up rather than the usual disruption that has marked our time in the prem. Wonder what Roy Hodgson's thinking? 😕

i really hope not and i do not think it is very healthy to even think about that happening atm, we all know that awful day will come but not and till the end of next season i hope !!😳

OG was asked this question in a recent interview. He explained even his mother was concerned about the rumours! He went on to clarify he was very happy at Palace and it was just paper talk.

All his interviews have been genuine and honest. I see no reason why not to believe him.

HOWEVER, our huge success this season could undoubtedly be detrimental to the club with other sides looking at a number of our players and coaches to fill the talentless void at their clubs!

That, I am afraid is football. If you have the money, you try and buy success.

motd saturday night whilst watching palace lord over brighton the commentor threw a great big soaking wet blanket over the game by saying that they [them] are after our glorious leader lead by😡 jurgen klopp

The percentage of truth in BBC gossip is about 2%, they need to fill space with made up stuff. If you choose to believe it all, then good luck.
But Jonathan Pearce also mentioned it in his MOTD commentary v Brighton and he'd put himself in a very awkward place if he referred to the possibility just to look like he's in the know. I'm not being alarmist, he will probably honour his contract, but it seems more than just a bit of clickbait, some sort of contact appears to have been made, any offer would have been rebuffed but if it wasn't a 100% unconditional rebuff then a very small but genuine possibility gets amplified into gossip - that's probably all it is. But he won't stay forever, he is sought after and if we get at least another season of him we should be very grateful.

As ever lots will depend on the summer window. We are highly likely to lose Guehi and maybe JPM as well. I think OG will want us to show (sensible) ambition in replacing whoever goes and strengthening the squad. It’s not secret he was unhappy with the way business was done last summer, epically the late timing of ins and outs. If we can show the right planning and OG thinks he has a stronger squad for next campaign then I think he will stay. If not …

It was reported that SP had started talks for a two year extension back in March.
You'd hope we are an appealing enough prospect for him to commit, particularly with what he's achieved so far.

After 51 games for us he has a 49% win percentage. That is madness! He clearly has ambition and is very driven so the club need to do everything they can to convince him that they can help him achieve something with us. Big positives are that the club didn't waver in their support for him in his early season struggles; also, it feels like he has more of a say in how things are done than might be the case at a bigger club (especially one with Klopp looming over). If he does stay then I think we'll see a very tough stance on any players leaving the club as I think part of any new deal would likely involve assurances regarding player sales. One final issue is of course who replaces Dougie. That will be a very important balancing act.

Was discussed at the open day lunch yesterday for corporate members with Glasner doing a Q&A. He said he is fully focused on the football and wouldn’t expect anyone including the players to be side tracked into contract negotiations at this stage.

He said similar during the interview when he mentioned his mother asking him about the rumours of takung another job.
He said he had another year on his contract after this season and intimated that he wanted to focus on the rest of this season's football as the priority.
This is all reasonable, but it does leave a question mark on his future.
Decisions need to be made on the replacement for Freedman and the futures of a number of players.
Glasner will need to be involved in/onboard with those decisions and hopefully he will be.
