Is Ollie on his bike?

It was reported that SP had started talks for a two year extension back in March.
You'd hope we are an appealing enough prospect for him to commit, particularly with what he's achieved so far.
When asked about contract talks Glasner said it is not the time to talk about his own situation, that one of the American owners as well as Parish had had a meeting and discussed plans for the summer. He indicated he was currently unwilling to talk about a contract extension at that time but did not seem against the idea once certain assurances and presumably money are in place.
He's happy at Palace and has said as much himself. I think all the time he feels he can achieve more with this club he will be keen to see it through. As others have already mentioned I think there is a big onus on the owners here to show him they share his ambition.
Failure to back him coupled with a fire sale of all our best players will surely see him packing his bags and moving on.

Personally I dont see that happening but Raymond Bloye and Ron Noades have cashed in in the past. This is Palace after all. Right now I'm trying to shut out all that kind of noise and enjoy the best end to a season we have possibly ever had!

I have looked again at both the posts you mentioned, no, neither have mentioned that, just you. Good idea to drop it.

Oh I just realised you liked Norbury Old Git's post, so that makes sense. I won't be dropping it if you keep responding to me denying what was posted.

Norbury Old Git wrote: "Furthermore would the fans at White Hart Lane take to an Austrian Manager?" a post you liked. At least two other people besides myself recognise what he is referring to, you are denying that, and you liked the post.

PalazioVecchio wrote: "every billboard & t shirt is emblazoned with 'no racism here'............ surely then people must practice what they preach. You cannot diss a fella for his identity, his nationality. Especially just because of some monsters astride the world-stage two or three generations ago."

Emphasis on the bold. Eagleman13, whom do you think he is referring to?

Both these posts were before mine. So yeah, I hope that explains it for you. Let me know if you need some more help buddy, happy to explain it again.

Why would he go to spurs he is far to good for them

Any topnotch manager wants to play in Europe. Glasner-Glazier has shown himself to be worthy of playing at the top level. Of course i hope we keep him. Apart from that, i cannot see him signing for an Everton, a Spurs or a Brighton......its not enough of a promotion from little old Selhurst.

Its either somebody guaranteed to be in Europe next Autumn, or somebody with serious aspirations to get into Europe.

Rangers it is then.

Looks like OG,could be on the move shortly.

Never mind an old Parish favourite is still available, Dyche!!

"Begin talks" = contacted OG's agent.

Doesn't mean he is sitting down with Levy discussing terms.

Doesn't mean he isn't going either.

Right now Spurs is a basket case, but a semi final place in the ECL was not long ago

And the resources, oh the resources.

If he does go there I wish intense ill of him and his new club as I did when rhinoplasty went to Birmingham City or Don Juan to the Clowns.

It's not 4/20 yet.

I’d be slightly more concerned about him leaving if he won us the FA Cup as he might move on after that. In that hypothetical eventuality I’d feel less sad, as we’d of won the cup.

As another point, might this spur (no pun intended) SP and co. to offer up/commit to some sincere investment in the summer, to ensure he stays? Just a couple of points I thought I’d raise.

As a club, we can’t have top mangers or players without there being rumours of them moving on. Therefore when there are rumours, it’s indicative that we do indeed have a top class manager or player on our hands.

I believed this to be true for Olise and I believe it to be true for Glasner. I’m grateful one of them is still here for now and that we are safe from relegation at least and in the semis of the FA Cup.

Its life in the fast lane folks . Better to have managers and players that others desire than a club full of deadbeats .
The board have dealt with it well with our players being/not being poached in recent seasons , someone after our manager will be a new problem for them to overcome but at least proves that they can identify a good one in the first place .

99% of this gossip is utter crap, if you believed any of it in the summer then we wouldn't have had enough players to field a team! All the "opened contract talks" stuff is most of the time agents trying to force the club's hand to offer a better deal, Kporha recently springs to mind as the gossip was that he was off, no question about it and now he's signed a new deal. Although Olise did eventually go, before that it was 99.99% certain he was going to Chelsea, only for him to then sign a new deal with us and don't even get me started on Guéhi in the summer!

Remember, we're Palace and we should know our place and according to the press we should not be allowed to have any good players or managers for more than a season. BBC pundits are the worst at this IMHO!

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he wanted out , last time i heard he wanted reassurances that we would hold on to our important players and you all know what Steve thinks about that . If a good offer comes in then they are off . We are a selling club after all, and it wouldn't be the first manager to leave because of differences with Steve . I see now 20mill compensation is being quoted . Probably all shite talk started by Villa to upset our players before the semi .

all the pundits diss the smaller clubs. Especially whenever they have some excellent talent on the books. Gary Neville is always saying 'player xyz should be at ManUre'.....'no disrespect to club abc''.
the Grimacing D1.ckhead.

A selling club, which of our star players have been sold in the 12 years in the Premier! Bolasie, Wan Bissaka and Andersen, Olise doesn't count as his contract deemed he could leave, if price set by hin was met.. So thats 3 players in 12 years, hardly a selling club!
Brighton are a selling club, not us.

Spot on IMO
