Is Glasner the problem?

We are only 1 point worse off than we were last season after 18 matches.Goals FOR and AGAINST are identical !

The 'Mood music' appears to be one of disappointment on account of our run of results at the end of last campaign when expectation levels were elevated, however we have not quite reached 'Half Time' in the season and a great deal more football still has to be played. There is also the 'Transfer Window' !
A positive post from you!? One for the record books.

By way of balance, I will start negative. Glasner rightly moaned about, inter alia, late signings and the need to get any January signings done early. These days you can hide absolutely nothing and with the window opening this week we have no news of medicals etc. to suggest this will be achieved. Moreover, Wharton was perhaps the unsung pivotal player in our late season surge, he is the supplier our attack trio desperately crave and he has not been match fit all season... and will not be until at least February.

On the positive, that return to fitness will come when (hopefully) a new signing (or two?) will be up to speed, Riad could be adding some depth to the defence, and enough other clubs (who we are already pulling away from) will fade even more than they are already.

I genuinely see top half, 50+ points, a positive GD and a run that will culminate in us ruining the scousers end of season party.

This is the system 100% we should be Playing:

---------------Henderson------------
Munoz---Lacroix--CentreB--Mitchell
---------Wharton--Hughes----------
---NewLFA-----Eze------Sarr--------
---------------Mateta-----------------

I am now not sure who the second best CD is, i think it will be Riad in the end.
Munoz can still overlap the Left footed Attacker, i would play Hughes there at the moment, with Lerma and Doucoure until Wharton is fit

Agree, however, Kamada was signed reasonably early in the window and had a full pre season with us to help 'adjust' to the pace of the game here and the physicality. It appears 6 months on he has not adjusted at all.

The window wasn't ideal but clearly getting the wrong players in doesn't help too e.g. Eddie N has never played in any position other than No 9 so to play him elsewhere and see him struggle was not a great surprise to most people.

Witch hunts ended around 300 years ago........supporters aren't 'entitled' to 'know' anything. If you don't like it don't support.

Oh yeah. Of course, I’ll just stop supporting a club I grew up with and have followed since I was 5 or 6 years old. Fool. Like we get a choice on who we support. And this is a ‘forum’ a place where supporters can vent and ask questions. Honestly some people.

Wishful thinking Lanza.
Aint gonna happen.
You know that.!

For me, the problem with the system is our LWB.

Don't get me wrong, I think Mitchell is a sound left back, but for Glasner's system to work properly, you need a more attacking LWB who can then allow Eze to move more centrally. After all, isn't the system supposed to be 3-4-2-1 rather than 3-4-3? Munoz and Sarr are beginning to work well on the right and this is also enabling Sarr and Mateta to begin working well also. With a proper LWB we'd have 5 attackers when in possession plus one DM being able to move further forward.
Bang on. With you all the way. Hope we get what we need.

Read the Doombear post, then you might learn something, instead of talking a load of S***e like normal
Haha,we all know, (even your little friends that are frightened to upset you) that the only person on here that talks nonsense and contradicts himself all the time is you. You are laughable.
Tell me, do you still want Glasner's contract extended at the start of the January transfer window? Or do you still want him sacked?
Or is it the same as a week or so ago? Both 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I don't think nonsense is exclusive to any one particular poster.

You're right AS, none of us have a clue about what's going on at our club, so therefore most of our posts are nonsense. We speculate, deliberate, opine and argue, but all without any real background knowledge. Ergo, a lot of nonsense.

Fun though isn't it.

I think if a gun was placed against Glasner's head for an honest answer and he was asked if Kamada is (or is even likely) to be a success at Palace he would say no.
The problem for OG is he was a dependable explayer that he knows. A player that I imagine he feels has never let him down at previous clubs. He was also in good form at Lazio. Lets not forget Lazio had an option to extent his contract by a year and were furious when Kamada refused to sign it. They fought hard to try and keep him. Clubs of Lazio's stature dont do that for crap players.
But it is clear it is just not working out for him at Palace. It might be the Premiership, it could be London, it might even be that he just cant get on with his teammates. It's not unheard of.
Bottom line is we are currently stuck with each other. If we get an offer to take him and cover his wages in January (and we bring in a midfielder) I can see him going. Problem is in the form he is currently in I dont see too many takers. Both club and player need to make the best of things till he can be moved on. Unfortunately that does mean giving him some minutes here and there or interest in him will drop to zero.
