I just thought starting a war without justification was maybe a bit illegal. A bit like the war against Iraq, where W Bush and Blair were called war criminals.

I dunno, call me a liberal , or an extremist, I just thought International Law might be applicable. But obviously it only applies to bad countries like China and Russia, not to good countries like the US of A

I imagine that building a nuke and the means to deliver it, whilst openly threatening to use it, plus supplying weapons that are fired on allies in the region, sponsoring terror attacks, kidnapping our citizens on fake charges for political leverage and murdering 25000 domestic protesters, some having their throats slit in hospital beds, all over a 50 year span is not a good enough reason to attack them.

How far we've come that ideology supercedes the bleeding obvious.

The wife is out there at the moment, just texted me that she saw a fireball in the sky earlier. I guess it is only 150 miles away so seems believable. You could see the bases as legitimate Iranian targets if the US aggression continues. Time will tell whether it escalates to that level but it's not beyond the bounds of possibility. I served in Akrotiri during the attacks on Iraq in 2003, but Iran is a much more formidable foe than them isn't it. It might get moved, stranger things have happened.

I heard that the Irish Govt are advising any Irish citizens who have travelled to Middle Eastern areas such as Tehran, Dublin city center Talbot Street, Dundrum Town Centre or Ballaghadereen to leave immediately....🤭

No need to get offensive sunshine. I've had more patriotism in my little finger than you had in the past, just because it isn't there any longer doesn't mean you can open your trap and gob off. Well you can of course, but is it advisable? I'm not so sure these days. Someone less mannered might take offence. I'm not sure I've ever licked anyones arse tbh. You might believing that advancing thousands of miles eastwards from Berlin changing regimes on the way somehow doesn't constitute aggression, but that's certainly not how most of the world outside the West sees it.
