It would be good if you knew your history. The Normans didn't breed into the country like the Vikings did, they didn't pile people in for the land and settle. They came in, beat Harold's superior numbers at Hastings, and ruled which is why you saw all the Motte and Baileys built everywhere as they appointed local rulers
It's what their forefathers did as Rollo Duke of Normandy, a Dane, in that area first. So no I didn't include the Normans for that reason else we'd have seen french appear in our language as the peasants would've been speaking it, just like we have Dane, Saxon and Angle words which make up English. The french spellings came later via the rennaisance period.
