Of course not. Just look at the case today in which a policeman infiltrated and stopped what was said to have been potentially the biggest terrorist incident ever in the UK.
Good intelligence is vital and stops much more than we are aware of.
Finding ways to challenge and change extremist beliefs is never going to completely remove the threats, so good police work will always be needed. Whatever the source of such beliefs.
And WHY should we have to live like that? Why should we have to pay for anti car terrorist bollards for Christmas markets? Why do we have to spend a fortune on trying to catch death plot after death plot with the inevitable case that some slip through and kill innocent people. Why should I be limited for liquids in my hand luggage, have to go through scanners, just to get on a flight? There's only one reason we have to do this and it's Islam.
