How do fans see next season unfolding.

A new manager, Andoni Iraola is now 4/9 on with the bookies.
with Andoni as manager ...... pretty good. For this Eagle 'pretty good' = finishing between 16th and 9th in the table. But we still need to overhaul our 'new player recruitment' formula. Again, i am sure we will lose another 3 or 4 of our best players - which is acceptable for any club below the final 16 of the Champions League - provided the money is good. I have always said we need a 'conveyor belt of Zaha's' to compete in this challenging economic model.

If Parish gets it wrong, we will drop like a stone down the table. And With or Without the Europa League are two different Worlds. Hopefully we win at Leipzig.....which will bring some nice new nightmare problems for us.

Excuse my fence sitting, but I find it impossible to say until the outcome in Leipzig is known. Two completely different paths await depending on that game...

100%

Path 1 - Win in Leipzig
Prem survival and push for a deep in Europe as possible

Path 2 - Lose in Leipzig
Aiming for top half in league and have a real go in one of the domestic cups

Regardless of the result in the final, I expect us to finish higher in the league next season. Although if we do win the final, only a little higher in the league as we will again have fixture congestion and the welcome distraction of Europa.

So with Europa football, 2 or 3 places higher domestically. Hopefully at least pass the first fixture of the cup next time out, too.

Without Europa, we should be looking firmly mid-table as a minimum. 12th or better, as a minimum.

If Iraola is indeed the man, that is good news for us. He would continue to grow our current players, as he has done in Dorset, and attract names to supplement them, again as he has done in Dorset.

I cannot see Iraola coming if we are not in the Europa league, who knows he might not come anyway, but i hope he does.

Iraola aside at the moment if feels as though any success next season depends on Sarr staying. Of course whoever comes in may have some viable alternatives but with JPM still likely to go Sarr is key.
Only Steve knows what the budget will be but we need a few players out of it and proven goalscorers tend to be expensive.
