with Andoni as manager ...... pretty good. For this Eagle 'pretty good' = finishing between 16th and 9th in the table. But we still need to overhaul our 'new player recruitment' formula. Again, i am sure we will lose another 3 or 4 of our best players - which is acceptable for any club below the final 16 of the Champions League - provided the money is good. I have always said we need a 'conveyor belt of Zaha's' to compete in this challenging economic model.A new manager, Andoni Iraola is now 4/9 on with the bookies.
Excuse my fence sitting, but I find it impossible to say until the outcome in Leipzig is known. Two completely different paths await depending on that game...

Path 1 pretty much a mirror of this one.100%
Path 1 - Win in Leipzig
Prem survival and push for a deep in Europe as possible
Path 2 - Lose in Leipzig
Aiming for top half in league and have a real go in one of the domestic cups

We really need Larsen and Johnson to make a massive improvement under whoever the new manager is, Mateta and Muñoz i expect to be sold, maybe even Nketiah will stay fit and form a duo with Larsen and both get 20+ goals each, or maybe not, Larsen, Johnson and Nketiah for the same money we got for Eze and Olise, 😳Iraola aside at the moment if feels as though any success next season depends on Sarr staying. Of course whoever comes in may have some viable alternatives but with JPM still likely to go Sarr is key.
Only Steve knows what the budget will be but we need a few players out of it and proven goalscorers tend to be expensive.

10 each might be a challenge but we can hope.We really need Larsen and Johnson to make a massive improvement under whoever the new manager is, Mateta and Muñoz i expect to be sold, maybe even Nketiah will stay fit and form a duo with Larsen and both get 20+ goals each, or maybe not, Larsen, Johnson and Nketiah for the same money we got for Eze and Olise, 😳

Definitely. Win in Germany and we'll be managing another European campaign. Not winning will mean a standard domestic season. Two very different situations on every level from recruitment to fixture congestion to who needs to be sold to who we are able to bring in. The possible outcomes are at this stage way too unpredictableExcuse my fence sitting, but I find it impossible to say until the outcome in Leipzig is known. I’m with you Tom, get this season out of the way, see whether we’re in Europe or not and see who our new gaffer is and how quickly we get him in place.Excuse my fence sitting, but I find it impossible to say until the outcome in Leipzig is known.
