HF- Political Comments

This nonsense barely deserves a response. I wonder if you got your knickers in as much of a twist when the HF mounted their political protest about the Saudi takeover of Newcastle. Somehow I doubt it.

Anyway, cheerio. I see there is a Tommy Robinson discussion on another section. I'm sure any contribution you make there will be greatly appreciated.

That's what they all end up doing, puking out the Tommy Robinson reference.. yawn.
So anyone who has an opposing feeling to yours is a Tommy Robinson fan? How so very boring and predictable.

The subject in question is a valid argument. Politics should never be welcomed into football or any sport. The flag(Palestine) wavers should be dealt with accordingly.

Why have I just had this weird vision of a lot of very tall members of the HF in flares and tank tops, waving flags?🤔😎
If they can conceal a 7 ft flagpole then Palace must be popular in the Ent community (in the Tolkien sense; not a load of ear, nose and throat specialists).

What will the HF be doing over this issue? Let’s think:

1. Saying nothing and never going there again?

2. Getting their most articulate to write a statement to say that’s the end of that?

3. Realising what a fvcking error they’ve made in dividing and p1ssing off the fanbase and arguing over what the fvck to do?

4. And/or realising, oh sh1t we’ve got Spurs in 2 weeks who have a large Jewish following (and a history of Jewish fans with a parent(s) or grandparent(s) who were Jewish) and won’t be at all impressed with this ignorant public display?

5. Planning how they’re going to make it from the pub to the ground without being noticed and having this issue raised with them?

6. Somehow getting an escort 😂 from the pub to their own home ground. Something they wanted before?

A combination of the above, or none of the above and they’re fine with it like a fraction or half of the BBS, if that.

If the club step in and stop this then it will be interesting what happens next. We’ve seen HF boycotts before. I think it was when Parish wouldn’t give them the seats in the centre. The end result after getting the seats in the centre and getting fans moved is the atmosphere has got worse, not better. Mainly because the songs have become the ones that nobody knows or wants to sing if they do.
Well I think they should be saying if only to give their collective decision as to what the hell were they thinking about . Its no surprise that the atmosphere was a bit flat as we had a Palestine demo in the ground where we used to have football fans . A very big error IMO which has lost them a lot of what support they had left after the demands over the flag fiasco .
I came across the Corbynite faction a few years ago when I briefly visited the BBS and strayed into their politics section . Only one opinion allowed there thats for sure . If these are the guys in charge of the HF we have a problem .

John Textor in a BBC interview about the HF:

"They don't like capitalism apparently in the ultras at Crystal Palace. So I went to talk to them about it. I met them outside Selhurst Park and they said, 'John, you bought Lyon, are you aware of the politics of your ultras in Lyon?'

"I said, 'God no, what are they?'

"They said, 'Well, they are right, and we at Palace are left.' Well I don't care, this has nothing to do with football."

Their numbers are down I feel they are maybe slowly losing their importance to the club..
The HF’s numbers are down and falling because nobody joins in with them. Nobody joins in with them anymore because they sing 2 songs for too long that nobody wants to sing and nobody knows the words to. The HF won’t change so this trend will continue…

I could be wrong but do they now have a new song using the Bella Ciao tune ... if so its getting silly and very look at us from them.
I'm block F and heard it at the Liverpool game..?

From what I can gather....not that I've given it much thought....Parish politically seems more your Blair type left wing. The club did the 'black lives matter' kneeling embarrassment, but then again all clubs did and now much that was internally agreed with we only had the media focus on the occasional objector to sight. I suspect many would have had varying degrees of disquiet over it but 'went along to get along'.....because the very nature of becoming a footballer means falling into line with bosses.....upstarts, unless they are extra talented, are weeded out.

So the upshot of that is that Parish probably isn't left wing enough to please the likes of a lot of the fanatics. However, short of some luxury communist world utopia they will probably always be acting like that. Ultimately a football club in the Premier league is part capitalist venture with a local identity...it's not a community service with footballer's wages....there is local football if they want that.

I can't help but think that while some of them might be alright people, a lot of them are just modern versions of Rik and haven't ever really grown up.....and some of them....as we know are nasty buggers who take advantage of the current cultural zeitgeist, whereas in other times you wouldn't notice them.

Should just keep to the classics like:

"Oh south London is wonderful"
"Give me a p"
"We're the right side"
"The Famous Alan Mullery went to Rome to sign the Pope"
"Super Palace"
"By Far the Greatest Team"

All they do these days is go:

‘’Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa’’

It's just total dirge now! They just drone on with nothing for anyone else to get excited about or join in with.

But apparently this is what the Ultras on the continent do (make a constant noise) and that is whom they want to be like. And as they have a megaphone and a big drum then they kinda have a monopoly over the noise and which songs are sung.

It's a great start to the Xmas album...

I'd also add (off the top of my head):

Ole, ole, ole, ole, Eagles
We're the red and blue army
Dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dadum, PALACE!
[Insert Manager's name) Red and Blue Army
Hark now hear, the Palace sing (Very Xmassy)
We love you Palace
Who's that team we call the Palace

You've then always got generic fillers which seem to have faded (games gone), such as:

Let him Die
Who the f***ing hell are you?
Anything pertaining to 'northerners' (funniest when sang at Watford)
W*nker!
You don't know what you're doing

That new drum since they moved to the centre is too loud. Totally unnecessary anyway and especially now as only they’re singing with it.

We’ve all seen this before but it’s still funny if you haven’t seen it for a while…
