I believe that to be in our best interests, yes. But that doesn’t imply the banning of religion. Only that has no influence over, or involvement in schools. At home and in places of worship that’s up to the parents. However, any evidence of the teaching of hatred, wherever it is found, should be prosecuted. So home schooling needs to be tightly regulated."There ought be no compromise over it and religious influence banned from all education as a first step." [Wisbech Eagle]
It's amusing that the original quote came from a spoof account parodying Owen Jones which many, including Naz Shah apparently, took at face value. Probably because it was indistinguishable from his usual burbling. What are you trying to say? We should believe her absolute bullshit?
people with a preconceived agenda are oblivious to actual facts, which is a very sad state of affairs.

As Tom Lehrer said 'Political satire became obsolete when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.'
Agree with this, at the end of the day Labour were happy to turn a blind eye to maintain muslim votes and still are if they possibly can. The whole muslim community knew this was happening but just kept silent cos they weren't botheredAs this...what I predict will be a whitewash investigation into the grooming gangs goes on.....you are going to hear a lot of claims from those higher up in government at the time that they knew nothing about this.
I should imagine the truth is similar to the Savile situation....they did hear rumours and from time to time it was political news, but they can claim ignorance via plausible deniability through their lack of commentary at the time.......the fact is there was no benefit for them to say or do anything....these were working class white girls and for them at the bottom of the pole as those doing the raping were their beloved 'protected class'.
But it was known....as this BBC article from 2011 reveals.
We await real justice.....and there's a lot of people who are tainted by this.

There is no doubt that it was known there was a problem but the scale wasn’t. And each local authority independently decided on the same approach. There is no doubt that it was known there was a problem but the scale wasn’t. It seems there was a policy to handle lt locally rather treat it as a national problem.
Things changed.
Did they? And each local authority independently decided on the same approach.
Yes. I have asked them.Did they?
Have you asked them or are you relying on media reports?
I don’t doubt they talked to one another and to government advisers so there would be some coordination but there wasn’t the national approach there is now with the grooming gangs task force.
You’ve been busy. Surprised you have the time given everything else you do.Yes. I have asked them.
Even in a frantic schedule like mine time can be found. Look at your timetable - a bowls club to run and still the time to spare to pontificate on all the world's ills. It's about prioritisation. This weekend I skipped the Bezos wedding for instance. You’ve been busy. Surprised you have the time given everything else you do.
Care to share the details?
Well bearing in mind they all acted the same it does seem like there was collusion.Did they?
