Grooming gangs

Yes, I did and he acted as he was reported to have acted. He has given his reply. It's all over now. He wouldn't win a case - as I stated. He did not deserve an MBE which is more kowtowing to wankers.
And there was me thinking everyone had lost a contact lens.

Honours have meant so little for so long that finding a lost contact lens is a greater achievement. So is that burp or fart after a hearty meal. Owning a Boots Advantage card is the current equivalent of an honour.
I meant people doing it as I pass by.

It's sickening when you read about child victims coming forward to tell their stories, and how they were raped and ignored.
The stories garner more coverage than actual action about what's being done. In fact, it seems like another round of "ignore and people will forget about it", by the Government and police.

Agreed. It's also sickening when people pretend that there were no real problems with how the police and authorities behaved.

Is this part of the 'quiet' and 'gentle' policing of the rape-gangs that Wisbech spins about?

Having just read the story too it’s obviously appalling, if true. I hope, and expect, a thorough independent investigation is undertaken to discover the facts and, if true, that anyone involved, whether directly or indirectly, is given the appropriate punishment. Which would be severe given the abuse of trust involved.

I hope it was just one officer, or a small number, of rogue officers, acting alone. Unfortunately corrupt officers do exist. Doubtless this will attract a lot of attention but until we know the truth, and the scale if true, I hope, but don’t expect, that there won’t be any rushing to conclusions. The most important thing right now is to ensure the investigation is trusted by everyone so there cannot be any suggestions of cover up.

Peppered with "if trues", "small number", "rogue officers", "rush to conclusions" - we expect no less.
