There are often daft posts in these pages but this one is particularly obscure!

What on earth links a shop specialising in supply Asian foodstuffs or a source to find a dog groomer to anything connected with this thread?

Asian shops are quite common these days. There are several here, catering to the tastes of the many folk who have cultural links to Asia. When I lived in the Philippines there were shops there catering to western tastes. It’s the way of the world now.

I use a dog groomer, so need an online to find them.

There’s nothing the least “Orwellian” in the BBC, or any other media being both careful and accurate in their choice of adjectives. What anyone’s ethnicity is doesn’t explain, or excuse, bad behaviour. When reporting you therefore comment on the behaviour and not anything else. It’s for social scientists to analyse trends and advise government on any implications that need to be addressed. Not the media.

No different to the Tories and Labour then, favouring immigrants, legal or illegal, over their own citizens.
 
The societal cancerous rot from the Grooming Gang scandal was always present within local institutions, such as councils and Police forces. Any and everything that sees this exposed and punished is a good thing.

Yes, the actual rapists themselves deserve our ire, but the people who turned a blind eye to it by way of furthering their own careers? The very people who had the duty of care to prevent it from happening? I actually believe they deserve to be punished even more in some ways.

Certainly, publicly shamed and things such as pensions revoked at the very least.

The inaction and complicitness over this issue are nearly as disgusting as the crimes themselves.

These are services that were meant to protect children, who it now appears were encouraging the abuse.

The recent report was given evidence in June of widespread grooming in London. They found a disconnect between police and services. People were not referred to the police. It has to be considered a political choice that children are raped and abused as there is nothing being done about it in London. Khan's policy choice.

It was comedy when Borat tried to abduct Pamela Anderson, in a sack, and cart her off. It's not so funny when the abduction is for real.

The accused "who is a father of two"......and no mention of him having a job or studying. Why is he cruising the roads at 3am looking for a single alone woman to abduct ?
