What on earth links a shop specialising in supply Asian foodstuffs or a source to find a dog groomer to anything connected with this thread?

Asian shops are quite common these days. There are several here, catering to the tastes of the many folk who have cultural links to Asia. When I lived in the Philippines there were shops there catering to western tastes. It’s the way of the world now.

I use a dog groomer, so need an online to find them.

There’s nothing the least “Orwellian” in the BBC, or any other media being both careful and accurate in their choice of adjectives. What anyone’s ethnicity is doesn’t explain, or excuse, bad behaviour. When reporting you therefore comment on the behaviour and not anything else. It’s for social scientists to analyse trends and advise government on any implications that need to be addressed. Not the media.
