Data accessed through Freedom of Information requests, reveal that of the 1,453 sex assault convictions on women in 2024, 26 per cent were foreign nationals. Eight percent are recorded as having ‘unknown’ nationalities , so the real total could be even higher.

What conclusion do you draw from that?

Maybe so their officers can concentrate on the crimes alone?

Concentrate on the crimes? Obviously the entire investigation would be jeopardised by the time spent ticking a box on a form.
The conclusion I draw is much like the Yes, Minister quote - if stats don't exist no one can be criticised for them.
