Glasner to Forest

It quite literally is 3 trophies…you can’t miss the Charity Sheild, it’s the largest of them all.

As Painter quite rightly said, one trophy might be attributed to luck but not 3!

Like I said, no one will ever convince me that the Charity Shield is a major trophy and I really don’t care what others think. We were lucky end of. I’m pleased we were lucky, but we were.

Given that Brighton would have a major trophy if we included it (they won it in 1910) then I am declaring the Charity/Community Shield non-major!

When listing FA Cup and Conference League winners, there is not a "Very fortunate" after their names !
In the FA Cup we defeated 3 PL teams.
In the Conference League we had to negotiate an arduous route to the final including play-offs and all-in all lifted the trophy after 17 matches travelling the length and breadth of Europe.
You seem to be like a politician, you cant give a yes or no answer, it is pretty easy, do you think Glasner is a good manager, Yes or No,

Define "good manager". He's had a level of success many others never achieve. Then again he has his faults, but what he did indisputably do was coalesce what was happening with the players and the club at that particular moment in time to bring home the silverware. I would have thought one aspect of being a "good manager" is the ability to do just that.

Maybe there needs to be a third category. A good enough manager.

Wouldn't get us relegated, won our only trophies, but had no Plan B.

Not sure we have ever had a manager that meets my own definition of good.

I put Glasner in with Pardew and Vieira. Just won a couple more critical games...

With respect you are sounding like Jeremy Paxman !
Like an interrogation out of the 'Ipcress Files' !
Perhaps given that I have spoken to a plethora of politicans over the years, and continue to do so,I have mastered the art of prevarication. 😍
Suffice to say we do not have asymmetric views regarding Oliver Glasner.

I agree with the general thrust of these sentiments.
In broad terms, even the most successful managers have had periods when their fortunes have not been in their favour.

If we all work to different definitions of good it's no surprise we've not agreed on whether he's good or not. Probably why this debate won't get any further.

I for one applaud Oliver Glasner for the unprecedented success whilst he was at the helm.
I never ever envisaged our club lifting the FA Cup and a European trophy in my time on this earth.
"Vielen Dank" to Oliver and enjoy your birthday ! 😍

We’ve now gone from trophy to ‘major’ trophy.

No, it’s not classed as a major trophy but it’s certainly a trophy, which was your original point.

The clue is in the title.
